what do you all think?

2 ship builds are always tough, buts it's even tougher for the dual Ewing list as you only have 1 i5 ship and 1 i4 ship (a lot of stuff can out manoeuvre the i4 at least). But that doesn't mean you can't do well with it if you can fly well. Personally I've seen this version of the list work very well (all be it in the hands of one of the best players I know).

(74) Corran Horn
(2) R4 Astromech
(8) Shield Upgrade
(3) Fire-Control System
(3) Elusive
(9) Proton Torpedoes
Points 99

(68) Gavin Darklighter
(2) R4 Astromech
(8) Shield Upgrade
(3) Fire-Control System
(9) Proton Torpedoes
(3) Elusive
Points 93

Total points: 192

Elusive does work well on the Ewing, a lot of the time (after firing torps) you will want to stay in close to your targets, and you should be using those red 3 sloops (hence why also taking R4 for more blue on the dial).

Hmm, I thought having the stealth devise was good as it would make it a lot harder to hit them. . .

A ship with stealth device only needs to take 1 damage (including shield damage) from any source for the extra evade die to be lost. Even through 4-5 green, receiving 1 damage happens allot more rapidly than most like (in my experience Stealth Device pops on the first or second attack most times).

R4 astromech is such good droid for the E wing, but if you are running Elusive you could replace R4 with Chopper to get some occasional shield regen.

or you could use Chopper to regen the stealth device

You wouldn't want to do that, you would have already lost at least 1 shield when you lose Stealth, so if you use Chopper to regen Stealth then you'll be losing another 2 shields.... that is half points lost.

Stealth just isn't great.

just run this instead:

(68) Gavin Darklighter
(2) R4 Astromech
Points 70

(63) Rogue Squadron Escort
(2) R4 Astromech
Points 65

(63) Rogue Squadron Escort
(2) R4 Astromech
Points 65

Total points: 200

a list like this is very fancy, but i4 and i5 is just not high enough vs the likes of fenn rau, poe, wedge, midnight or quickdraw. if you want a bigger bid, just replace outmaneuver with marksmanship. you can get alot of crits that way. elusive is just not good enough. rerolling a green dice is very inconsistent. it normally just means a blank or focus result turning into another blank. shield upgrade is alot better than stealth device. i guess daredevil is a decent option, but it will leave your dial a bit stiff.

(68) Gavin Darklighter
(2) R4 Astromech
(3) Fire-Control System
(9) Proton Torpedoes
(1) Marksmanship
(8) Shield Upgrade
Points 91

(74) Corran Horn
(2) R4 Astromech
(3) Fire-Control System
(9) Proton Torpedoes
(6) Outmaneuver
(8) Shield Upgrade
Points 102

Total points: 193

But you could use evasive to bring back up the shields . . .

But only 1 and it's an action, then you would have to do a red move to regen Elusive, then wait another round before you can use another action to spend the Elusive charge on another shield regen. During this time you can't take other actions, and are likely to be taking hits. It's not a safe tactic

Hm I see your point, it seems a good combo-but in practice it does not work

Yeah if you want a true regen Corran then it's better to go for an R2 Unit, Elusive is still good with him to. Timing that moment after Corran double taps with a shield regen is a beautiful and satisfying moment

Drop the stealth device. Let me see what I come up with. . .

E-wing - •Corran Horn - 107
•Corran Horn - Tenacious Investigator (74)
Elusive (3)
Collision Detector (5)
Proton Torpedoes (9)
•R2-D2 (8)
Shield Upgrade (8)

E-wing - •Gavin Darklighter - 93
•Gavin Darklighter - Bold Wingman (68)
Trick Shot (1)
Collision Detector (5)
Proton Torpedoes (9)
R4 Astromech (2)
Shield Upgrade (8)

It will be super tough with that list, but not impossible (plus heaps of fun), I'd drop both Collision's and take a 10pts bid. But maybe see how you perform with it first.

You could also switch collision detector for FCS on both, and switch Gavin's trick shot to daredevil. This would leave a 2 point bid

Once you give that one a go maybe try this one. The build on Horn is only slightly different from one I ran against a Kavil/Guril/Unkar/Jakku list (adds Prots and Hull). The ability to "fishhook" (Dial in a 1 hard and Advanced Sensors barrel roll back in the opposite direction), Daredevil boost into a blue 4 and Boost 1 bank then sloop the opposite came in very handy.

Corran Horn (74)
Daredevil (3)
Advanced Sensors (8)
Proton Torpedoes (9)
R4 Astromech (2)
Hull Upgrade (7)

Gavin Darklighter (68)
Daredevil (3)
Advanced Sensors (8)
Proton Torpedoes (9)
R4 Astromech (2)
Hull Upgrade (7)

If you're wedded to Elusive (nothing wrong with that, it is a good ability) it is easy enough to swap it out in place of Daredevil on either. You just loose the 1 turn red Boosts.

I vould Build corran horn like this for a 2 ship build

**Corran Horn (74)** *

Elusive (3)* Advanced Sensors (8)* * Proton Torpedoes (9)* * R4 Astromech (2)* *Ship total: (96)* **Total:** *96*

With a 2 ships squad you need ept that increase your mobility to dodge enemy fire .

Adv. Sens with r4 make possible to use red manouvers a little bit more (recharging elusive)

Protorp guarantee the right punch at the right moment

And pair it with something else with initiative 6 (falcon)
