How about an Arkham Horror revised rulebook??

By diablo666, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

Well, they have done it for Tannhauser and I would love FFG to do it for Arkham Horror.

That would be very cool to have a revised rulebook with all of the FAQ information written into it.

I would buy that for sure!!

The primary reason for the Tannhauser revisions was because FFG fully acquired the IP for a game they were previously just translating into English. Obviously they decided to take the opportunity to make some sweeping revisions and bring the game in line with their own design philosophies.

Arkham Horror, having been an FFG game all along (at least this edition anyway) is unlikely to receive similar treatment. The FAQ is designed to clarify ambiguous rules and fix mistakes, yes, but reprinting the entire rulebook with such minor clarifications is probably more expensive than it's worth, in terms of having someone sit down and make all the changes. Not to mention opening the door for new mistakes in the second printing. Also, future material which might encourage them to reverse a ruling made in the FAQ previously. The thing about these rulings is they aren't as impermeable as we might like. (Descent in particular has seen rules go back and forth and back again a few times.)

This is something I've thought of often, especially when seeing the FAQ questions thread grow and grow. Perhaps a revised one that covers the main game and expansions in the Ultimate Collector's Edition That Contains Everything Built In High Quality With Miniatures? (Hope FFG makes one of those!)

Where can I find it? I've just found a preview of an excerpt.
