What % of actual figures do you run?

By Blutsteigen, in Mutant Chronicles

Let's say you are playing a 10/10/10 battle. Of those 30 possibilities, how many actual minis would you probably be running?

I'm at about 45% of my build on average, but I think that may be a bit high compared to my opponent tomorrow.

i run no less then 1/3 and if i run more i make sure i can activate them all (i won't run more then i have order tokens for)

Right now we are playing 10/10/10 battles so I'll just post my two current army lists.

Wow, Cyborgtrucker, that makes a lot of order tokens in your builds, and not a lot of troopers... Does it mean you buyback everytime it's possible ? I'd be interested to hear how you play those lists (which are quite different from those listed in the french forums) !

I'm not a finess gamer, I like to play armies with themes and stories behind them but they still tend to be stright forward. These two lists are kind of hammer armies. Yes, I do like to have the option of buy back with the extra tokens. Also as more figures come out and my store restocks some of the older releases I will be bulking out troops in my picks. Though technically I have 1 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze Necromutants so that Dark Legion army has two soldiers not actually listed. I haven't missed something in the rulebook stating that the figs, cards and tokens all have to be in even ratios?

Of course, you're totally free to make the builds the way you want ! I was just intrigued by your builds... Wanted to know the kind of flow you liked in your games... MC allows for so many types of builds, that you get to see very different kind of armies...

Btw, I'd personnally take Alakhai over Golgotha in almost any build... Her range is very limited, which makes her special ability kinda useless. She's not that tough (4 health is not great for a double base fig), so it's not an easy task to keep her alive until she gets at close range. Alakhai is much more flexible, IMHO...

Really it's amazing the low quantity of miniatures in your armies, congrats for your innovation! In my case, playing with Brotherhood, obviusly my armies are focused in the command cards, so in a 10/10/10 game my percentage will be 30% command cards, 35% tokens and 30% miniatures, usually four or five gold, three silver and two or three bronze.

For me I like to throw tons of gunfire down range making it hard for the enemy to advance while I move in for the kill with snipers to dig out those in cover. I'm not shy of Close Combat. But why get so close to trouble when you can kill it from afar?

I actually don't own Alakhia, I got Golgotha and two other Dark Legion figs through a friend at my FLGS. So in the future I plan on buying the Nepharite booster and then passing my extra Golgotha to another person who is getting into it. Kind of a "pass in on thing". My FLGS community is very good about helping new people out with games by giving them stuff.

Golgotha does tend to intimidate player's who don't know her very well which can be helpful.
