the ist try to use emon with bomb ; marauder title, because with bombardier , have more chance to set a mine where you want.

nym to launch seismic , go out obstacle , and make damage..

jostero to try , if live, make free attack bonus.

any suggestion?

I've been contemplating a Sol Sixxa loadout like your Nym one:

Ship Total: 68

It's only 1point more and, besides ablative plating, Sixxa can actually barrel roll just far enough to avoid a "Genius" drop if you use the bank template for it, so you should never really take damage if you're careful.

i adjust my list after you suggestion:

I was really nasty to an enemy Empire fighters list...

Comparing it with Your lists.

My Emon is heavier on upgrades, especially on bombs. TBH I normally use only Proximity Mines on him, others are a reserve choice, so I'm tempted to go with Marauder as a title (as You have). On the contrary You are paying 5 pts for more options on two device drops and I don't think it is wise, as after You capitalize You effectively have a generic Firespray with Initiative 4... One thing that bothers me is Cad Bane. Is he worth points? In my games it was a mixed bag. You've went with 0-0-0, but is he also optimal for a bombing plaform with a lot of bombing reach? Crew here can be completely not used to be effective in my opinion.

My Scurrg was very nasty, but also I can strip its turret down. Nym's ability is ok and it is mandatory to load him up with bombs. Sol is a nice alternative, but I won't see him running a Genius and Havoc, instead Cad Bane and Expert Handling would be my choice for him. Need to test is though, because launching a bomb is an action people often don't see as a possibility:)

The third ship is an open topic. Depending on points left over. Gunnrunner is a budget choice, Zuvio needs a bit of shaving from the rest of the list. For Jostero I just cannot find points... He is a gimmick in his own world, but You need to have 43 points free (or 46 to go with Homing Missile - allows easier to capitalize on bonus shots in a pinch).

your emon have 2 bomb mre of mine, i know but prefer have the possibility , to drop mine with :

straight: 1,2,3,4

wide: 2,3

narrow: 2,3

nym or sixxa: a hard choice, but sixxa permitt me have the third ship more offensive

third ship , prefer zuvio on a generic ship, and mor bomb on table, to maximize the list...

Your lists made me thinking about my choices. I'm happy about this particular thought exchange process. I see a value of having a third ship that is not only an annoyance, but also a valuable addition. Let me show You how my initial list evolved by engaging the conversation with You:

All my initial goals are satisfied, I've managed to cut all the fat I saw on my initial list and then added a third bombing solution :) Downgrading Nym to Sixxa allows me to add a turret or random vet skill somewhere (expert handling?), which when I'm writing this post started to be more and more appealing to me :P

The core that we differ is an approach to Emon's role. You want to have flexibility and more options for 2 mine drops per game. You focus on them count. My approach is to leverage Emon's ability throught the whole game, not only during two bombing rounds. I don't think there is an easy answer what is better in all situations. I think though, that maybe setting up Emon more like Bobba would be a better alternative (using Han as a Gunner), because it gives action efficiency sacrificing only a bit from bombing flexibility.

From me side the main outcome is that Jostero is hard to fit in Emon+Scurrg setup. He could find space in more diverse list.

i agree on emon role. one suggestion on your emon:

if want can try the bomblet against , proton proximity, in this way you have 6 more point to upgrade ( for example pattern on zuvio, or a turret on nym).

if downgrade nym to sixxa, i sugggest elusive on zuvio. for my personal experience the quadjet use a lot of red , and eleusive is great on that ship

Hmm. I disagree on Bombletting Emon. It is a was on Andrasta title in 2nd edition in my opinion. For Scum, Bomblet Generator is Scurrg only upgrade.

However I love Your suggestion for giving Elusive to Zuvio. I don't use Gunnruners with Vet Skills, so this was a blank space for me. It is an excellent choice for Zuvio. Thanks :)

The one upside to putting the Bomblet Generator on Emon is that he can reload it without having to use a Shield token like the Scurrg does.

Good point. Still Bumblet is not nearly as effective as a proximity mine on Emon.

Accidentally I've run calculations and my last list with Zuvio can replace him with Jostero...

I've run Emon a couple of different ways. I've run him similar to the OP (with & without 0-0-0) and paired him with Jostero and two Jakku Gunrunners. I agree that Skilled Bombardier is a good option, the 4 straight and the 2 turn templates help land the prox mines and that can be key. I love proc'ing Jostero during activation, when it works out it's a great chance to catch slippery aces when they're unprepared, the Gunrunners help with that. That said, I typically manage to proc Jostero just once a game with that build (probably played it about half a dozen times). Even one extra attack can be crucial to the game, but still ...

I've also run Emon with Andrasta, seismics and proton bombs. In that build I've been putting Boba Fett on as crew and placing Emon close to my opponents side of the board early on, dropping seismics between obstacles at range 2 of their edge of the board and making life uncomfortable for them early on.

I've also flown the exact Nym build in the OP with Jostero, but I had Guri as my third ship. Lessons from that:

  • Nym's ability is awesome with seismics as you can place a seismic between, say, three obstacles with trajectory simulator early on and hold it, creating a big area that your opponent then has to avoid
  • Nym really could do with a turret weapon to shoot backwards if you're going to do Genius much
  • I actually proc'd Jostero twice in a game pairing him with Nym which is better than my typical success with Emon

There are so many cool combinations to play with here. Bombs, Jostero, Tractor Beams, all great combinations that can be devastating if flown well. (Not to mention cloaking & cikatro!)

My consideration with or without bomblet:

If emon is the only ship with bomb, prefer have 2 option ( Seismic and other device) but if emon is a ship with bomb, prefer maximize the ability and have an economic build, in this may make the other ship better.

Bomblet can make the key, for me in that case

you could also replace the ion turret with a dorsal and skip tobias becket. this would let you run nym istead of sol sixxa, with one point left over.

I wanted to pop in on this discussion, too, as I've enjoyed "Mad Bombers" 2.0 with exactly these ships. The major difference is that mine fully loads out Emon and Nym, but only has the two ships, which has seen mixed success. I experimented with a Bomblet Generator on both ships just recently, but I'm dubious about whether that's the best choice. Seeing three-ship versions, as above, is interesting. The most recent iteration looked something like this:

if emon is only bomber of list, i agree. this has other ship with bomb , prefer maxime the bomb load out....

Emon have a good chance of being able to drop a proximity mine under a enemy ship behind him in the system phase so i prefer to use Proxy mines and Seismics. I use Probombs and Seismics on Nym. I also use Boba Fett crew on Emon, pointing the back of the ship at enemy ships and bombarding them from the very first round.
