Lost my darn AT_RT antenna!

By Kingsguard, in Star Wars: Legion

My friend dumped by unpainted minis out of the box onto my desk and now my AT-RT antenna is missing. Think FFG would be willing to replace it for me?

maybe, Why not get a thin paper clip or similar metal pin(sewing pin) and drill and cement that in its place? It would be quicker and more stable. Those plastic parts tend to break off anyway.

Do you run comms on your AT-RT that often?

I'm so new to the game I've barely run anything. Lol. I'm in the process of painting it at the moment.

Tooth brush bristles work great. Flexible and size appropriate.

you can request a replacement from FFG the worst that they can say is no

agreed,

make a request if you want, or don't. the longer antenna on mine broke off so my antenna array on the AT RT is shorter but if more breaks I'll put a bristle in there or leave it off.

Get better friends.

Friends who lose your model parts aren't friends.

good call!

Toothbrush bristle is a perfect idea. Hairbrush bristle may be better even

I mean hobbying an AT-RT isn't truly finished until the antenna breaks.

Hmm. yeah, a hairbrush bristle might be a good idea. Suppose I could ask FFG first though.

Ffg is really good. They'll replace

I used a guitar string on some of my WW2 stuff for Flames, but beware it will be like a little needle. I then bought a cheap dust broom and used the bristles off it.

FFG will replace it. I was honest about my hatred of the family cats with them. They have replaced parts for 4 of their games due to cat destruction.

A cat whisker will also server as an aerial replacement part. 😁

Aerials are WAY easy to do (I have done lots of them for my bolt action WW2 vehicles...)

1. Grab a piece of plastic. The long rods that are spare from old plastic sprues are perfect.

2. Burn it with a lighter in the middle.

3. When it is on fire, put out the fire and, before it gets cold, stretch the plastic.

4. Now you got a precious soft aerial in the middle of the plastic, cut desired lenght. Glue on place and paint. It will remain soft forever, so it'll be difficult to break.
