Double Sided Amber Cards

I am not super confident I understand how the back side of these cards are supposed to be used (click the image to see). The image makes me suspect that it records increases to the cost of keys, and it is automatically attached to every Grabber Jammer, Murmook, and Jammer Pack that is played. But having a card that is always attached to another card doesn't feel like something that is inherently helpful. Lash of Broken Dreams and Iron Obelisk would have the amount of cards behind them change so often, that it feels overly fiddly.

Is my assessment right, or am I missing something obvious?

I don't think the intent is to attach these "+1 to Aember cost" cards to other cards, but rather place them somewhere visible, like near your unforged keys, as a reminder that they will be costing you +*. I know I have accidentally forged for 6 when there was a grabber Jammer on the opposite side, then had to trace my steps back just to correct the error (throwing off the turn or game in some cases).

My first thought was that they record captured Æmber but I will let them say what it is intended for.

Or it means you have enough to forge +1 next turn. A visible check as it were....

If I remember correctly, the double sided "active house" cards have a chain tracker on the back side. Maybe the amber cards have some kind of unrelated opposite side?

I honestly didn't know about the "active house" use of the chain tracker cards (which is what everyone I've played with here has called them).

i'm a bit confused about the prize gallery: Can you redeem your shards for anything on that list, or just the 2019 season one stuff?

Cuz I'd like to get me some more pins.

Yeah...that's not really a useful thing to do. "Let me put this card out in front of me that says which house I picked." It's just the name they gave the card so that's what I refer to them as. 😐

That's a good question. I never got any of the pins, but I would looooooove to get them. No idea! I'm going to go to an event this Saturday that's supposed to have a prize wall, so I might have a chance to check.
