Ryder Azadi pilot means more Star Wars Rebels in Legion?

By Triangular, in Star Wars: Legion

I was curious about the upgrade cards of the new speeder and tried to find out about the pilot. It seems to be "Ryder Azadi" the "former Governor of Lothal". I wonder if he's a hint that we will see more characters out of Star Wars: Rebels soon, like the blind Jedi Kanan Jarrus ...

But I think every character of the Spectres would be nice as a model and could find a role in the game. What do you think?

I don’t know precisely when it will happen, but I think it’s inevitable we will see something.

Kallus could be the first dual release operative that can be used with either army.

Inquisitors would make good Imp operatives. I could see most of the spectres as rebel operatives.

Now that is an idea I like. Kallus could come with two heads; a helmeted one for imperials and a free flowing mutton-chopped one for rebels. Then they would only need a single sculpt.

The Spectres do make great models, I have a set of the right scale from another seller. I am planning on using the Hera model to represent a generic Rebel Commander, might use the Chopper model for the mechanic droid, or as an objective.

I think if FFG were to release Kallus as both a Rebel and an Imperial Operative, it is more likely to be two seperate sculpt: one in full Imperial kit, and the one in his "casual" Rebel outfit.

Great idea, the plastic model only costs FFG $.06 extra anyway.

I don't know how many operatives the game can handle (2 per side at a time) I do feel like Hera should be a commander, and maybe Kanan as well. Sabine is Disney's Golden Child, so she'd be overpowered somehow (free, action-less mine laying) I'd like to see how they put the droids in the game as well. R2, 3P0,CH0P, etc.

I really think they should release "Named" units however, so a SPECTRE unit consisting of Sabine, Zeb, Ezra and Kanan and Chopper. They'd have super amount of wounds and armorment, but as you take wounds, you lose certain figures, you also lose certain keywords/abilities like Melee dice, Pierce or if Sabine is removed, then her pistol attack, etc.

That's probably too difficult to put into the game or it may be overly imbalanced, but I feel that would be the easiest way to integrate a whole host of characters without releasing individual or duo packs of figures and rules, stats, command cards, etc.

The Inquisitors could be a similar type of release. 3 Inquisitors with buff number of wounds, Hard-core Melee stats and helicopter saber throw, but as you lose figures, they lose attacks, or something.

To clarify, when I said two different sculpts, I meant it was more likely that IF FFG decide to release Kallus as both, it would be two seperate boxes with different sculpts, not two sculpts in the same box.

Regardless, I would like to see Hondo as either an all faction unit or criminal faction commander with Weequay pirates.

I fully support Hondo as the first true all faction Operative. Include all 4 faction order tokens with him, plus his command cards and stuff for him.

FFG please make this happen - better yet let’s get a dozens of pages thread going demanding it like xwing got the gunboat.

yes do that!

I'm fine with the Spectres coming into the game, as long as Thrawn is the only Imperial they bring in from Rebels. I'd rather not have any more bumbling idiots in the game than necessary. (Jar Jar and the Gungans being necessary, of course)

actually most of the Rebels baddies matriculated into ARMADA without any bumbling. So its really up to the designers.

The imperials other than thrawn from Rebels only need one model - man in officer uniform with facial hair, the player will supply his own british accent.

Can't forget the Grand Inquisitor, as an Imp force user who can actually keep up with Luke.

Can we exhaust the more universally appreciated material first?

True. To be fair, other than Price, I can't think of many that would be on the ground, and she was insufferable. (except in Thrawn, where she was only mostly annoying)

For the sake of my fellow players, I'd request a supplied British accent. Mine is godawful.

Better to release it mixed with other content to keep everyone interested and the game thriving.
