Already frothing at the mouth for that Wave 3 Clone Wars stuff

The Hyena Bomber is what he is talking about, looks like a vulture starfighter but with ordnance and bombs.

Other things as well

Cis: Ventress starfighter, Scarab starfighter, Droid Gunship?, Magnaguard starfighter, Umbaran starfighter

Republic: Twilight Freighter, Clone Z-95, Nu shuttle, Theta Shuttle, Eta shuttle, T-6 Shuttle, Naboo bomber, Naboo Police starfighter

Between legends and canon there are several ideas for the two factions.

Also, pop.

Yep.

Though, I'm much les interested in the non-movie stuff. Maybe some Nu and Theta shuttles cuz I like shuttles. Oh and that big silver shiny Naboo vessel. THAT. I want one.

Think of larger games for those who want to have more epic battles (not the epic game but just battles that are larger than average or team games. In my own case, I've bought extra models so that friends and family without the funds could play stuff they might not otherwise want to. There is also the thing many like myself do and get extras in order to have whatever I might want making each fleet list different beforehand so that you use a wider variety of ships than most.

Pepsi is a type of cola.

Coke is a brand name for another type of cola.

🤔 Did you really think I didn't know that from the context of the conversation? I'm pretty sure I was careful to distinguish between "Coke" and "coke." 😎

Do people in states where they call all soda pop, Coke go through that routine every time someone orders a coke?

I think the guy was having a bad day. It was also a just off the interstate highway place early in summer and it was kind of busy. I thought I'd been pretty clear that I understood what he was asking when I said, "Coke." I had the idea he hadn't been there long.

I haven't had that again because after that I understood that I needed to say "Coca-cola" when "What kind?" came in reply to ending a food order with "and a Coke." I also stopped drinking Coca-Cola.

Does anyone, have any inside information as to when they will be released--i am avidly checking the news feed every day incase there is more info. . . .

Actually I was just reading the January issue of Game Trade Magazine. They had an article on Wave 3. Nothing new info wise till I got to the listing of products that are coming out. According to the FFG section, wave 3 will be shipping in February.

So not too much longer for Wave 3.

Shipping as in... “the boat”?

No, "shipping" as in the fandom pairing characters up romantically. Not really sure how that works in this context (and if you do know, PLEASE don't explain), but there you have it.

i was thinking does FFG usually give an article for each ship/pack in a release wave if so we have at least another 4-6 articles left to come. . .

I also would have though they would have released them at the same time as the points change to allow them a full cycle of play before the next points adjustment. . .

I'm assuming we will get the point lists for the new factions in the first week of March, with the product available a couple of weeks after that.

Hopefully February contains a whole mess of spoiler articles!

Delta's look SOOO good! (with the 3 attack die option), but Torrents are really underwhelming atm.

I REALLY don't want to buy 30$ arcs....

I definitely plan on buying two of these squad packs, one of the single pack Deltas and a couple Republic ARC-170s. Wonder when we'll get some V-Wings :D (I also wonder if using Rebel ARC-170s would be legal if we can squeeze in more than 2 in a list)

Got my mind on doing some trade-ins to pick up the Republic Clone Wars stuff. I already own a single ARC-170 which I hope as standalone model can be used with the v2 ARC-170 expansion. Will 2 ARC's be enough with one of each of the Squad Pack and Delta single pack models for a good list or two? I can hold a bit of funding back if I trade in enough for a future release, but I didn't want to over or under purchase and be left wanting that third arc or delta etc.

The Resistance show mentioned a "Z-96" fighter, and I'm _dying_ to know more about it.

Within the context of the episode, a) they were pulling parts from the Z-95 to put into the Fireball- which means that yeah, the Fireball really is deliberately modeled on the Headhunter. b) the way they were able to tell the Z-95 and Z-96 apart was the clone war era paint scheme. Granted, the Z-95 they were pulling parts from was beat up quite a bit, but the implication is that the Z-96 looks _very_ similar to a Z-95.

Republic ARCs have the same title and dial as Rebel ARCs, so yes you should be able to use the models interchangeably. So long as you have some extra dials (Rebel dials are fine) you can use some of the Republic cards to play a pair of ARCs with only one Republic ARC pack.

You probably can’t fly two of the same generic at any event where you’d need the cards, but otherwise you’re all set.

I think like all of this it comes down to what the points cost will be. Dials are the same and models should follow under paint doesn't matter as long as you aren't trying to be tricksy. But we'll likely only get one each of the generic pilot cards. And we still don't know if the Republic ARC will have an upgrade card that should be stapled to the ship. Getting two on the board in some fashion should as noted not be a problem especially for casual play.

Getting the two you want on the board in a formal circumstance may be more problematic.

But an okay list with one of each Republic expansion and a Rebel ARC should be quite doable even for a formal circumstance. I get the idea that these Republic ships want to be fielded in a combined arms sense - two torrents, an ARC, and a Jedi will all fit in at least a "not horrible" list. Two ARCs, one of each Delta, and two torrents should give you lots of Republic options.

Many thanks @Frimmel

I might be in a circumstance to purchase an additional model due to trade ins, but I guess until we know the points no one really has any idea on what will be needed. I'm keeping my eye out for FFG's next articles, especially in case they show future potential releases that would have me waiting patiently for.

Until we know the points and everything that is coming in the pack it is just a guessing game. There is some talk of fitting four ARCs in a list which given the cheapest Rebel is a unique pilot at fifty points doesn't seem too far out there.

I think I'm likely to start with Sinker and Axe.
