I saw this auction a few years back but I never noticed the huge differences in the Y-Wing. New Turret Anyone?

I saw that last year, actually. I don't recall that they shot any close ups of Y-Wings since the first Death Star scenes so I'm thinking they just put any turrets that would fit on the models - and that one really doesn't fit well. The turret ring is bigger around than the turret itself.

I'm seriously considering putting my own turrets onto the older Y-wings minis, but it's way back on the priority list.

Well that's intriguing. I wonder what kind or turret a little single barrel like that would even be?

I'd love to see something crazy like this:

Turbolaser Turret:
