hey homers. whats been cooking?
What you been flying in FO and Imperial?
Imps: strikers
FO: my quest continues to obtain an absolute unit silencer and some conversion bits for my SF.
For Imps I'm usually flying Howlrunner with Swarm Tactics, Nightbeast and a full Inferno Squad with Marksmanship on Seyn.
For FO it's Quickdraw (Juke, SF Gunner & FCS) and Recoil and FO Test Pilot Silencers, both with Predator and Advanced Optics.
Basically always at least one of the following:
Interceptor
Striker
Defender
Non Vader X1, usually with a shuttle
Move fast, be somewhere else.
FO: Blackout/Trickshot/Proton Torps, Null/Squad Leader, Petty Officer Thannison/Kylo/Phasma/Adv Sensors
You could add Hyperhexitbiocritsomethingorother to make it extended legal if you want. Fairly easy to land a crit with Blackout to get a double stress on an ace, then "ace" it the turn after with the shuttle at R1. And Blackout does his business.
That and the Tripsilons, those things are a riot! 2-rounded a falcon the other day. It wasn't even all of them! As for Extended imps, I've been flying Seyn and Maarek with marksmanship (Maarek with FCS), Howl, Iden, and Gideon with crackshot. Not near as fun as Blackout.
Tell me more about the tripsilons. Do you think it could take a game vs someone who doesn’t make really silly mistakes?
I played 2 upsilons and lambda in 1.0. Best list I ever made
Its all in the setup. With Dormitz and all three with hyperspace tracking data, I had TL+F shots round 1 from the front 2. Since they all move at initiate 2, easy to force your own blocks and the like. My opponent lost his falcon turn 2 and gave up (Jake was already at 1/2 as well). Jake and Wedge were left and he hadn't done 1/2 damage on one of mine yet. I think Chico Brown took them to a store this weekend and did well too! I saw a picture with 6 of them on the board and that looked like an interesting puzzle to figure out.
Jury is out for me right now with all 3, but it seems like the old solid Dormitz+2 list that tore up unsuspecting opponents. If you can always go down the side of the board it seems like it might be good since you can adjust your turn in. I dunno, I like my Blackout list better. Seems to have the tools to deal with aces a lot easier. Though I doubt one ace is going to take down an Upsilon by itself if his buddies are gone. Who knows.

Heard of this. Still seems really janky. But not been on the receiving end of it. It seems like many people are caught off guard and simply don't have the brain cells to rub together to get out of the mess. (We shall see if i eat my words if i play against it)
Empire, all sorts, but mainly Echo. Everything else is just her entourage.
Edited by Cuz05Empire: my first list was Redline, Whisper and Deathrain. I've not seen much reason to change it!
First Order: Quickdraw/Null/Muse with an Upsilon - either Baffle Tavson in Extended or Thanisson in Hyperspace
I haven't played First Order yet, but here are the two Imperial lists I tried so far:
-Rexler (Juke, Fire-Control System, Homing Missiles)
-Countdown (Hull Upgrade)
-Gideon Hask (Trick Shot)
-Night Beast
200 points
-Whisper (Crack Shot, Director Krennic, Fire-Control System)
-Echo (Crack Shot)
-Major Rhymer (Advanced Proton Torpedoes, Barrage Rockets)
-Captain Jonus (Barrage Rockets)
200 points
Both were fun and solid. I look forward to try Imperial more and rediscover First Order especially. I just started with Rebels when 2.0 was released and played that faction for weeks. Then I tried Scum & Villainy for a while. I'm currently playing Resistance. I've also stopped building lists in advance until we (finally) get the points adjustment.
FO:
Kylo + Blackout
2 I4 Silencers + Tavson

With success? Can you post the list please?
I‘m still experimenting with Kylo lists...but it’s so difficult to find a decent list

It depends on what you want your bid to be but the framework is below. You can add in protons on Kylo and/or tech on BO. MF on BO is there because you need the Protons to get 4/5 hits as this list has so little offensive output. Best one was 3 crits & 2 hits.
I've had a 4/2 w/l ratio atm, so not a big sample size or even enough games to fully learn the list.
Silent Twins
(82) Kylo Ren
(12) Supernatural Reflexes
(8) Primed Thrusters
Points 102
(70) "Blackout"
(1) Trick Shot
(9) Proton Torpedoes
(2) Munitions Failsafe
Points 82
Total points: 184
Only time I've flown First Order is in a 400-on-400 game which is not complete... But it has been fun. I keep forgetting what I should be doing though.
I'm running Major Stridan for that R3 Coordinate and named SFs. Dad's running x5 TIEs with Juke. What I'm doing is coordinating as many of his TIEs as I can to have Focus while he puts evade on them all, that way there's dicemod all around. Evade-Juke-Focus is really really good and I want to start doing it with RZ-2s as well. Just need a more efficient coordinate boat than The Falcon tbh. Unless I have 3PO, Tac and Obese Poe.
Which could honestly rock hardcore.
Started back into the game with 2nd edition using a Ruthless TIE/ln Swarm.
I love the upgrade - it's brutal as heck, but worth it, especially since it's automatic and available whether you got actions or not (or have already spent your focus) and across your full arc of fire, not just your bullseye. Trying to decide if I want to risk using Ruthless Black Squadron Scouts to get my eye back in with Strikers.

For Empire its some variant of Vader and support but I'm waiting for the 28th to start list building for Hyperspace with him.

Just curious as to your reasoning for picking Thanisson over Tavson in Hyperspace. Is it just because Baffle isn't Hyperspace legal or is there something else I'm missing?

Baffle isn't there, and it's both busted with Tavson's timing but also transfers his ability from defensive (don't hit me or else!) to offensive (I'm going to double mod my attacks until you kill me). Thanisson's ability is inherently offensive in that it's creating a zone of badness for the opponent to worry about. I want my Upsilons to be drawing threat.
Also, I think in Hyperspace there's going to be a much high concentration of self-stressing stuff: Poe, A-Wings, Han Gunner, Kylo Ren, Fenn Rau etc.
