I’m trying to make some light cover and difficult terrain. I’m ok with the difficult terrain I made (the long piece with the horizontal logs) but I’m not sure I like the light cover sapling.

They both look good to me. What are you using for the base? It looks like glass.

The base is a separator from my Plano cases used to store my minis.

I also made some from old x-wing ship bases.

Great looking terrain. If this is your first attempt then you are off to a great start.

I recommend checking out the Terrain threads for tips, tricks and inspiration. I feel this community is an excellent resource and I enjoy seeing what other members are sharing.
