So I was never really that interested in watching the show, but lately I kinda want to watch the episodes that have ships in them. Is there a specific season/episode that there starts to be a lot of ships/ship combat?

Last couple of episodes of season 3 have some good shooty-shooty pew pew laser scenes.

I don't think there is a specific season with more shoot 'em up in space stuff. The first season is lightest on that sort of thing. Start of season two has pretty good space battle in "Siege of Lothal." "Wings of The Master" gives us the prototype B-wing. "Stealth Strike" has an Interdictor cruiser. "The Protector of Concord Dawn" has the Fang Fighters. "Secret Cargo" in season three is a pretty good space battle centric episode with the TIE Defender (the creation of which is an ongoing element of the Rebels story overall.)

Interesting, maybe I'll start with season 2 and see how it goes.

I was a little put off by the thing at first. It was mostly smarting from Clone Wars being cancelled though. I gave it a try and in my estimation it really "gets" Star Wars. Or at least it gets Star Wars in the same way I do. I would recommend "Rebels" over any of the recent films.

Season 2 brings in Vader and is probably strongest overall but I think all of the show is terrific.

Agree with this, after season 1 there is quite a bit of space combat it's just spread out over the episodes!

Rebels well worth the watch

I'd go at 1, the whole show is great star wars! (from someone never into the clone wars, this really gripped me)
