Indeed

But really, why don't the community make their own format that is better than Hyperspace but not as broken as Extended. Call it some sort of Hyper-extended format.

I mean if Kryat dragons were to take the custom format app and make their own format to be used with their tournament I would be all for it. Heck, I even think Kelvin and the Scum & Villainy team can make up a better format than the Hyperspace, sure Aces league is Extended for now but next year it could be their very own Scum and Villainy Format which will be better than Hyperspace. I will admit though, using the FFG app to make a custom format is a lot of work.
