Immune to triggered with duplicates He calls it thinking

By Dondiego2, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

I've Joffrey immune to triggered effects with duplicates. Opponent reveals Valar. I save. Opponent plays He Calls it thinking. Can him ?

What if i reveal the city plot that kneels 2 charaters. I choose Joffrey and another one. Can I use his ability to pay 1 gold and stand him ? (let's suppose i played the A Fistful of Coppers event)

Thanks in advance

Don

No. The dupe's save is an ability that is gained by the character. (If it wasn't, you couldn't save Joffrey because he'd be immune to the dupe.) Since the character is immune, his abilities - which are considered a character attributes - could not be canceled by whatever he is immune to.

Quick side note: City of Sin (the city plot that kneels characters) only kneels 2 characters if you have 2 other city plots in your used pile.

And yes, if City of Sin kneels Joff and another character, you could use Joff's ability - assuming you had the 1 gold to pay and that the other character knelt was controlled by someone else (an opponent).
