Dang you Jimmy! - Look what I had to do!

By R4Pi3R, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Ok, so here's the deal:
I'm currently studying and so most of the time I'm away from the usual suspects I use to play with and even farther away from my FLGS. Down here, I just have this one guy, let's call him Jimmy for the sake of this threads title.
Jimmy really likes to play and he's the weird Conq. Pala in my DnD group who keeps collecting heads of his enemies as trophies and such... Jimmy also likes Armada, but isn't hooked enough to start buying in. So, since he is
the only one interested to play me (and quite the cunning opponent, at that), we are using my stuff. Usually, I play Empire because well...angry triangles... no further comment on that.
So, to be fair, the first times we tossed coins (victory tokens actually) to decide who goes on what front. Was all fancy until Jimmy decided he liked the Empire more and wanted to go on full out war against me (we only played taskforce matches and the L2P skirmish from the rulebook til now but now he wants to go big... 400 points big, you know...)
So yeah, I have to build a rebel list with a lackluster of experience in rebel listbuilding. I hijacked some threads and reddits here and there to get some inspiration and well... this is what it's come to... Dang you Jimmy!

Ok So why did I do what? (I'm asking that myself....)
Objectives:
Solar Corona: somewhat self explanatory
Opening Salvo: To be honest, I just didnt want to pick Most Wanted again... might use it the next time, if it backfires. Having some cheaper ships in the fleet gave me the impression it might be worth it. (Still open to suggestions though!)
Hyperspace Assault: Give a bit more wiggle room for the bomb drop.

MC75 is built to deliver a death blow and also to create decent threat to anything coming to close, especially if its a squishy. Unload BT and exrax, ram if necessary. ECM for obvious reasons and Walex over Lando for he seems to be able to negate more damage in the long run.

The TRC90s as flankers and possible raddus dropzones.
GR75 as Hyperspace roadblock and another dropzone. Toryn to hand out rerolls to everyone (thus also the 3 blue die bomber squads)

Pelta and the 3 squads will raddus in, preferably in front of the target, to block it's way together with a TRC90 or the transports. SFO as slicer failsave so i definitely CAN drop and activate the 3 squads aboard. All together giving a potential maximum of 12 dice during its activation (including 4 Toryn rerolls) to implement death by a thousand cuts. If needed, adding a ramming damage to the mix.

I know, a squad heavy list will probably be the death of me and I am not guaranteed to unload the pelta and the squad attacks on the most desirable target. Having 4 possible dropzones for the pelta is my sort of insurance i can at least hit one of his ships with the combo.

Any critique or advice is welcome as I really don't build rebel lists often...

And all of this thanks to Jimmy.... I hate that guy *waves fist furiously*
