I've recently bought Lords of Nal Hutta and I plan to run "Rubbing slimy elbows" for my party, though I find it difficult to understand how exactly the Refreshments part of the module should work. In the sidebar at p. 137, a list of ten drinks is given and the text states that if there are more than 4 PCs, I should add more drinks. Since everyone taking part in the event should have a drink, I assume that having 4 PCs, they get one drink each, and the remaining 6 are left for the NPCs. However, the NPCs groups are either 4 (Shalo, his concubine and two bodyguards) or 5 people (Torani, the droid and 3 rodian minions). Since the total is much more than 10, I wonder who should be getting the drinks according to the sidebar - does the droid receive a drink? The concubine? Or maybe minions get one drink for all 3 of them (though this seems weird story-wise for me). I'm curious how other GMs handled this.

The number of drinks aren't too important; what is important tis that there is precisely 50/50 poisoned compared to non-poisoned drinks. So if there's only 8 drinks and 12 characters (not including the droid, who cannot drink) then make the drinks up to that number.
So basically drinks for everyone individually. Even though those guys are minions, they don't use squad rules normally in Edge so treat them as separate entities in regards to the check. Chances are; the named characters probably won't be poisoned as if they are savy enough, the henchmen would step up to take it because Shalo and Torani are much more clued in then their henchmen when it comes to deception.
