I've been thinking of dropping cpt seevor and swapping Lando for L3-37. This would give me the pts to put in a kimogila with quite a bit of hitpoints to chew through for its price.

heres an option u might not have considered...

you really want advanced sensors on those assassins because this really makes them so much harder to hit and gives them way more ways to flank an enemy ship/block an ace/arc dodge.

how attached r u to Palob? because Torkil Mux would really be awesome with ur initiative 3 starvipers. if ur really locked in to taking Palob (and i can understand why) then ud need to drop lando crew to create the points u need to upgrade to those assassins.
