Redirect - definition?

By Johan Willhelm, in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions

Hi there,

Apologies if this is a ridiculas question but I'd just like to clarify the "redirect" rule. Firstly is there a very obvious page and paragraph reference for "Redirect"? And second I presume "Redirect" damage is redirected to the damaged owners side rather than pinged back at the attacker but I can't seem to find the rule stating this (it's probably right under my nose in the rulebook) . . .

Cheers as ever

Johan

It depends on the wording on the redirect ability. Warrior Priests are limited to redirecting to any unit in Battlefield, while Defend the Borders let's you redirect to target unit or capital IIRC.

Any card that uses redirect has a destination choice built into the card (as far as I know). The controller of the action which uses the redirect chooses the destination.

Hope that helped but if not, could you give an example of what you mean?

Cheers for that. I'm specifically thinking of the Warrior Priest rule. Which as I read it means his first point of damage can be gleefully slung right back at his attacker . . . I think . . .

Cheers again!

Johan

Then yes, if you own warrior priests you choose a target unit in the battlefield to redirect the first point of damabe each round to.
