Quick back story to frame my question. I'm a casual player...I don't play in tournaments I play to have fun. I started playing 1st addition with my 11 year old son a couple years ago. He loves it! He remembers the rules better than me, and loves squad building. Over the couple years we have been playing, we have amassed over 175 ships..... The 3 main things that I love about this is 1) I spend time with my son, 2) he exercises his brain, 3) he is off electronics (especially game consoles) for a couple hours. Now, keep these last 2 points in mind....
2nd edition's Squad builder is handy, but it reduces the brain use because you don't have to do the math and it forces the use of electronics to play. The 2nd edition pilot cards do not include the upgrade bar or squad points and the upgrade cards don't include squad points.......I would really love a printable list that allowed us to have that information while off all electronic devices. Does such a list exist? I have started building one myself, but it is quite tedious. So it would be great
I mean really, isn't the point of all these board games and role playing games to take a step back from all the electronic gadgets?
