Packing up my Resistance/First Order.

By Koing907, in X-Wing

2.0 is a great opportunity to scale back my X-Wing miniatures collecting. I decided not to buy the FO/Resistance conversion kits, and that means my current collection of ships gets put into the 1.0 storage box until needed again. Towards the end of 1.0, Quickdraw was in nearly all of my Empire lists, and I'll really miss her.

There they are. I'll keep the Resistance Falcon out just in case I want to play three YT-1300's.

WHY ARE YOU MAKING A THREAD ON THE MAIN FORUM ABOUT THIS?

WHY ARE YOU MAKING THIS THREAD AT ALL?

So when will they be needed again? If you don't get the conversion kits then they really are not played in 2nd edition. So are you sticking to 1st edition X-wing or are you just going to use them as spare models if you start up FO Resistance factions?

Are we not supposed to talk about X-Wing miniatures?

I'm sticking to Imp/Scum for 2nd edition. I'm keeping my FO/Resist stuff in case I do get a bug to play them again. Maybe they'll get strong in the meta, who knows? Hopefully there will be conversion kits still available.

I keep all my old miniatures stuff if I can. I still have two Warmahorde armies, but haven't got to play them in years. (All 2nd ed stuff)

*Edit*

You know, I hadn't really thought about it, but if I do get back into FO or Resist, and the Conversion Kits don't get a reprint, at least I can possibly field two or more ships out of one purchase. Dials would be a problem, but I could probably find a solution.

Inside voice, please. No need to shout.

I had originally decided to do the same but I ended up converting First Order because I enjoyed flying those in 1e, plus the model count vs kit was very nice and a good deal. Even if I don’t purchase further into the faction I’m enjoying the Ties again. I have no plans to convert the Resistance, so I can relate to packing the models away. Seems I hold on to games I haven’t played in years too.

I hear you. I've decided that 2.0 is a tremendous chance for me to refrain from products that contain high fructose corn syrup. I have decided to reduce my intake of artificial sweeteners as well, which means my recent accumulation of Splenda is remaining in the pantry until necessary in the future. As I got towards the end of 1.0, salt was abundant in nearly every list I faced or used, but I won't really miss it.

Being a grognard, I've got games from the 80's that I wish I'd kept. (Space Hulk, various D&D books, etc) I can't pack everything away, but I'm trying not to be so casual with tossing game stuff. :)

Your dietary choices are very odd. ;)

Personally, I never bought into the First Order in the first place (my Force Awakens TIE/fo's went to a friend).

This seems like good time to ditch the Resistance as well.
