ionized and linked action

Can you perform a linked action after a ion maneuver?

If a t-65 is ionized and the wings are closed he can only do a focus action, can he do the linked boost after the focus action?

It's worth noting that, while no ionized ship can perform any action other than Focus during its perform action step, nothing is preventing you from performing any other action, outside of your perform action step... provided you have a way to pull that off.

  • Have another ship use Coordinate . It works because the action wouldn't be happening during that ship's activation.
  • Cards like BB-8 let you perform actions before you execute a maneuver. In fact, BB-8 can trigger directly off of an ion maneuver, because it's blue.
  • Sabine Wren (Attack Shuttle, TIE Fighter) can use her pilot ability to boost or barrel roll before she activates.
  • If you have a way to link off of your pre- or post-ion action, you're welcome to do so... that means Poe Dameron can BB-8 into a boost or roll, use his own linked action to do another red action (even fix a relevant damage card), then move one straight blue (which clears both ion stress), and use his NOW-limited perform action step to focus.
