Where is the announced points and slots adjustment? 😞

Currently there is none, but it will be in the PDF section under the rules. It will just be a new PDF. And there will be 3 things that has adjustment for pilots.

Upgrades have two things that are adjusted

I know. I'am very familier with these things. The .pdf has the 31 of december at date. But non of these has the new content.

As far as I know, the actual date of the big points adjustment hasn’t been actually announced, just that it’s suppose to be in January.

With the weight of these changes, I suspect an official article or some other kind of official announcement will accompany the release.

I remember they announced a 4 times adjustment per year. So its really obvious they mean the first day of an quartal.

With all the things they have to adjust a really important thing for X-Wing. Generally. Obviously.

A little strange that it is so quiet about it.

I think they've said twice a year, approximately January and July to match the two "seasons" of Hyperspace events each year. I think there will be some flexibility on the exact details of "when", and I'd expect the changes to be post-dated by a couple of weeks to give people a chance to rebuild their lists ahead of any events.

Odd, as I remember the time frame announced being six month intervals, or twice a year. This makes more sense when it comes to data collection and giving rotations of Hyperspace plenty of time to breath.

Even if it is more frequent, that doesn’t mean first of the quarter. For example, a fiscal year doesn’t start and end when a calendar year does. Having the adjustment come out on say the 20th of the first month of each quarter still works with the time frame, but might better fit an internal schedule FFG is tied to. Merely spitballing, but even a quarterly schedule doesn’t mean that it happens at the very beginning of a quarter. It’s already been disproven that that is what they are doing.

I think they are “quiet” about it because it’s not time to release it. When it’s time, they’ll put it out, we’ll read it, reactions (both positive and negative) will ensue, and we’ll carry on.

Soon. Eventually. Not at this moment.

Patience. It's a virtue. Especially with FFG.

I think no one knows nothing

They announced quarterly at the big reveal press conference in May, then announced twice a year starting in January at NOVA.

When FFG says they are going to do something in January, they don't mean January 2nd, they mean they will get it out by January 31st, 11:59pm American Samoa time. Maybe.

No no, clearly a ‘January Anouncement’ will be made on February 31st.

Oh Sorry. I'm German. If we say somethings happens in januar then it happens 5 minutes before the first day of januar. 😊

Seeing as how they were updated on Dec 31 I have a feeling that it will be at least a couple weeks before they update again...

I wouldn’t assume anything based on that. Nothing actually changed when the dates updated, it very well might have been the equivilant of a computer glitch.

Worth noting a new global head of OP has just taken post so things may well change completely in the coming weeks as he sets his plans in motion.

could be just for tournament structure and planning. Global head of OP doesn't necessarily mean head of X-wing OP as much as it means head of FFG OP. Now of course x-wing OP might have to go through him but how much hands on (or off) this head is in with X-wing depends on the corporate structure, company policies, and business priorities.
