A few days ago I posted on where to go with the rebels and would like a follow-up with the imperials.
Right now I have the core set victory the imperial expansion the arquitens expansion the raider and the gladiator, where should I go from here? I like the interdictor but am not sure if that would be best. In general what is the go to expansion for the imperials after the ones I have listed?

I absolutely recommend the ISD expansion, and if you want a second ISD buy the Chimaera. When Imperial Squadrons 1 returns I'd recommend picking it up.
I would get the chimaera, before the standard ISD it's more bang for your buck.
Chimera and second Gladiator for ships.
When availabe order all the squad packs with the Quasar.
Then get saving for the SSD!
For long range ISD use, the original pack (Cymoon needs Vader to function.) For close range brawling the Chimaera (Kuats are flexible for loadout, tougher than an ISD-I and work with upgrades you have already.) Missing out on Avenger and Vader is a shame, but the same could be said for Brunson, HMDV and fleet commands. Pros and cons both ways.
Sadly a Victory expansion is an essential purchase at some point before it gets serious too....

I actually own 4 VSDs, but that's because I do epic-scale games and they work great as finishers when you have the points to build an excellent fleet around them.
Right now (Jan 2019) VSD's are super cheap on Amazon. I would grab 3 while they are this cheap. The Nebulon-B frigate is also about $11 on there too. Great price! The core set is really low if you want another one of those. If you shop Amazon goto CamelCamelCamel to see price history of any item they sell.
Also very important before you get too heavy into the game make sure you have players you can play the game with. I have almost everything because I'm a nerd, love models, love star wars, and enjoyed the game the 3 times I've played it.
