So I have a facebook page and a twitter and until recently I kinda just had them as a formality, to share stuff and really didn't try to achieve much with them, but Facebook has this really cool new feature that I think might actually be able to draw some additional attention to the hobby. It's called 3D Photo and I think it's worth mentioning.
I got a new iPhone this year and it has a great camera, but also has Portrait Mode, which is meant to make selfies look cinematic. Facebook has an integration with these photos, and allows the "3D Photo" option if you've enabled it. For selfies they mostly just look "ok" and they don't get used as much, but I've come to find that this new feature looks REALLY cool for tabletop gaming, where you angle the picture downward.
As a photo, they look decent enough... (see below)
It's fine and all... but where they really shine is on facebook, where they take all the depth and meta data from the picture and create a living, moving picture that adjusts to either your mouse, or the angle of your phone, (depending on how you are viewing it).
I'm trying to showcase more of these games on my facebook page with photos like this. I don't have many followers there, so not sure how many of you really know about this - but it's awesome and I believe if more people saw these type of amazing movable images on their feeds, it might generate some interest.
