You can be flameproof, or you can be vanilla. You can’t be both. Vanilla literally means you don’t have a modifier.

Can't wait to see you wrong for once!

I’ve just caught up.

There’s a bit to unpack, but the first thought I had, and I’m surprised no one mentioned this;

You can be flameproof, or you can be vanilla. You can’t be both. Vanilla literally means you don’t have a modifier.

Unless Jabba borked Ebon’s PM and named him as vanilla, Ebon is lying. Lynch all liars.

##vote Ebonhawk

If I’m wrong Ebon, and Jabba borked your PM, then sorry, but this is automatic.

If I’m right, then you have my sincere respect for the masterful job you did of preemptively attacking a push against you.

My current theory is that arsonist are flameproof because there’s more than one. I think maybe Ebon is only giving us half his role.

I even thought I could be a back up role but legit without posting the exact PM, it's vanilla with a fireproof add on. Which either all vanillas have and you don't which is telling, or I'm the only one and Jabba had dicked me.

Side note: look at the day start post none of the roles there mention fireproof either.

Also really really think Mad, why would I lie? Why would I lie about this role knowing full well the chances of me dying to it

I was thinking the same thing but assumed it was what was received via PM. Perhaps though it is a scum slip.

I do agree with the observation that there must be multiple arsonists since LP was flamproof, I didn't notice it at first but did on a reread. Could be an important but of info later.

i litrally raised the point about multiple arsonists, so again thnk people why I would lie about this one thing I wouldn't

You vanilla Nightsister. Your voice is your vote; you win when all enemies to the town are dead. Having learned to master small fires with the power of your head you are also fireproof.

I've changed a couple words ex: threats to enemies etc and shortened it to stop a full quote but this is it paraphrased.

also

Unless mad isn't looking at a vanilla PM and there's only a couple of us, then you sir are the liar running scared that it;s not included in your PM just like bertie

@EbonHawk

Are you Grateful, Eager or Ambitious?

Gunna quote this again so you can have a real think about this sentence mad.

Fireproof is not a role, you understand? So yes Jabba can and has given me both. Vanilla does not mean I'm modifier less it just means I'm not a power role ala cop/doc and I'm not sucm. I'm nightsister town

For the record if anyone bothered to actually look up nightsisters before the game or has seen legit any clone wars you'd know half of them are flame spirts.....

eager

also while it comes to mind taking i'm fireproof, if there is a second arsonist I would be high on the kill list if I'm the only one (you wait jabba, you wait)

I mean I went to mafiascum and checked it out, in case it was just something outside of my experience. Vanilla has no modifiers. You wouldnt call yourself vanilla lynchproof, or vanilla deathproof, or vanilla bulletproof, etc. You just drop the vanilla.

As to “why lie”, it could be an unintentional slip, and it could be you didnt want to risk a cross claim.

Agree about the second arsonist point, unless you ARE the second arsonist.

Maybe, but if you re-read my game I allude to it day 1 before mentioning it D2 multiple times, does that read a slip to you?

I allude my own slip

interesting

@Madaghmire Why LTD over Clon yesterday?

okay so going off matt and mads last posts have me thinking

2 arsonists both fireproof and I fireproof

if say 2 scum, not 3 that would balance out rather well as it forces the arsonists out of early burns having to hunt each other and me! and if they call it wrong they can hand a win to a scum team that's understaffed?

Be interesting to sees mads reply to Pod, but currently, i'm full town reading matt, and soft reading cal, pod, and mad....

Why do we suspect two arsonists?

Because I liked Clons D1 more than LTD’s, and I liked the people on the LTD train more than the ones on the Clon train (for town). I didn’t have a strong feeling on either.

because LP was fireproof, and it would be odd for him to be fireproof as well and be the only arsonist

Because we suspect multiple sources of fire death or why would LP be flameproof?

Understood, unless we have someone that redirects actions.

Or it’s a red herring.

Seems like a tough one for town to win if both arsonists are third party aligned.

Perhaps one is town aligned?

A bus driver could do that, so LP would prime himself.

Also even with 2 arsonists they would have to burn everyone between them and both agree to hang me to draw with each other, so it's not as OP as you would think at first. 2 arso / 2 scum could work

12 hours ago, EbonHawk said:

Also while I get this, it also doesn't make sense for me to be the only vanilla fireproof in the game? otherwise, LP could burn everyone but still lose to a draw due to being unable to kill me, so I'm betting I'm not the only one and as such LPs WinCon is directly reliant on scum killing me/the other fireproofs?

Catching up now. Looks like Ebon and I finally both agree that there is just one Vanilla fireproof.

As for Mad's assertion that you can't be Vanilla + fireproof, I believe Jabba made LTD Vanilla + lynchproof in a previous game. He might have done it "wrong" according to the mafiascum rules, but there is precedent.

Callum, Arsonist is always third party. Unless Jabba is going really experimental.

Fair enough, didn't know that about LTDs role in a previous game... very interesting

For what it is worth, the vanilla+modifiers like Ebon's claim is also how I make roles. I see no problem with it.

@EbonHawk: Town Lean, Has been active and solvey. Not seeing scum intent, and doesn't seem to have a firm behind him to relieve any pressure coming his way.

@GhostofNobodyInParticular: Playing a closed game so far , seems solvey, Town lean but would like to hear more indepth thoughts on topics away from the headlines.

@Caldias: speaks Training Day. Should inform us of his reads soon or risk becoming a scum marine

@TheCallum: Was a bit shakey yesterday, lots of fencesitting and seeming reluctance to vote. Null. Do think the vote on Clon is a good one, but wonder if they vote there without my vote present? will you continue to push Clon if the votes move away?

@Bertie Wooster: 1 (EbonHawk) Has pressed Ebon hard in this one. Early speculation about a specific role. Interested to see Berties next move now he seems to believe Ebons not voteworthy.

@PodRacer: Town.

@Madaghmire: Was important in making the LTD wagon a thing. Cant think of a second major talking point bout Mad here, could be scumarining? again need to here more about the bigger picture, not just the front page.

@Matt3412: On my wagon D1. Voted on principle and refused to budge. +1 town Cred. Would like more original thought than just liking the points made by others.

Tell us why you have liked the posts you have liked.....

@clontroper5: 2 (PodRacer) (TheCallum) Ahead by a nose in the scum stakes, dont recall a single post so far that's provided analysis enough to make me think town so far. Also s stated it was my vote on Clon yesterday that accelerated people coming out the woodwork with knives drawn for LTD. FMPOV if Clon flips red, we can look for his buddy in the late votes on LTD

Agree with all this, especially the Cal/Bertie/Callum/Clon points

So help me out here guys

D1

We had an early train on POD

When and why did LTD get fingered and by whom?

We know LTD was town so that's making me more suspicious of POD, why?

I Feel like scum would have gone with the flow and hammered him, especially since pod was at L-2 for so long.
