So. In the Resistance Conversion kit we get 4 Blue Sqd Rookies, 4 Red Sqd Veterans, and ONE Black Squadron Ace.
Now in order to get 4 Aces on table, I would have to buy 3 boxes if T-70 X-wings. Which would be fine, if I did not already own 5 of those.
I don’t mind buying the new cardboard to convert my existing ships to 2nd ed. I am more than happy to add new types of ships to my collection. But I am reluctant to buy yet another copy of a ship, that I already own a full 200 pts. worth.
I was under the impression, that FFG would be selling some sort of cardboard upgrade kits, so that old players did not have to rebuy their old ships again. But the Black Ace contradicts this idea.
Was such a promise ever made?
What’s your opinion on this? Happily rebuying your old minis or not?
(This makes me think of Fortnite. Their busines plan does not force a player to buy anything, but the happy player pays them still, and they make a huge profit. If you had to pay in order to stay competitive in Fortnite, it would not have been such a success.)
