Good fleet to teach Armada?

By Captain Ordo N-11, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

I'm going to try to teach someone to play Armada that has never played this kinda of game. I figured a 200 point fleet with no objectives or commander would be a good way to start. I made a fleet I think will be easy to use while being decent and full of well known ships. Thoughts, suggestions, or changes? I was going to use a Victory and Arquitens against it with some TIE's.

Nebulon-B Escort Frigate (57 points)
- Salvation ( 7 points)
= 64 total ship cost

CR90 Corvette A (44 points)
- Turbolaser Reroute Circuits ( 7 points)
= 51 total ship cost

CR90 Corvette A (44 points)
- Turbolaser Reroute Circuits ( 7 points)
= 51 total ship cost

1 A-Wing Squadron ( 11 points)
1 X-Wing Squadron ( 13 points)
1 Y-Wing Squadron ( 10 points)
= 34 total squadron cost

I recommend one type of squadron only for each faction (so probably X or A.) If they’re different it’s one more thing to keep track of. We take it for granted sometimes just how much this game has packed into it. Otherwise it looks good. Good luck growing the game!

Good point. I think X-Wings would be better but I think I have to pick A-Wings due to points.

I could downgrade a CR90 to a B with Dodonna's Pride to fit 3 X-Wings.
