Royal guard fitting

By VAYASAN, in Star Wars: Legion

Is it jiust me or is he Imp Guard horribly designed regards the actual fitting of the pcs?

Mine all seem to have gap at the top f the front part, where the cloak comes over the shoulders....in THE most obvious lace on the models. Thebottom section sticks out tiny bit leaving a gap/ride in the cloak?

Mine had the worst fits of any of the Legion minis I've done. A little filler largely set them right, but I hate having to use filler.

Yeah. I tried to fix it using liquid green stuff, and made it much worse. Oh well. Pisses me off a bit, but...

Yep everything else has been fine but thought these were terrible designed and implemented in terms of the parts and where joins are...really obvious gaps imo and takes some skill with the green stuff to put right with the cloth folds and shape I reckon.

Not good at all. Surely they could be designed with joins in less obvious places?

Use a camo paintjob; works wonders at disguising the defects (which are many) in these minis.

/jk?

Yeah, I thought the IRG were some of the worst models for fitment in some time. I sanded and cut some of the male ends of the fittings in hope to correct it, but still had large gaps and had to squeeze like a mother to get them together.

I still haven’t assembled mine, but I’m facing the same problem! I love the poses, but the fits are really quite bad.

That stinks. I ordered some but haven't gotten them yet. My Papa Palps came out great and he was released at the same time...

Yeah they just don't fit together at all hardly...very disappointing since the rest of my minis have fit together really well

Worse than the fittings are the warpy staffs!!! They needed to be harder plastic. Grrrr, I spent a lot of time trying to get them straight.

Yep, these were the worst to date.

Odd that these had such poor quality control, and yet the Wookies went together with no gaps at all.

Got the guards and Wookies at Xmas and that was my exact thought.

I love the poses and really enjoyed painting my two squads up but it was sad to see the fitment be so poor- the cloak on the shoulders doesnt line up well at all and the staffs are way too flimsy, not to mention how impossible it was to get the hands in even after hobbying on them... *sigh*
