I actually got in two games tonight! And, I finally got some FO love on the table.
I played 3 SFs a bit in 1.0 and have been interested to see what I can do with them in 2.0. Here are some versions I looked at:
....However, in the end, I put this on the table:
Concussollision ๐ถ ๐ซ ๐ ๐ (196pts)
(31) "Null" (5) Targeting Synchronizer (3) Swarm Tactics
Points 39
(45) "Quickdraw" (3) Fire-Control System (10) Special Forces Gunner (3) Swarm Tactics
Points 61
2x (36) Omega Squadron Expert (6) Concussion Missiles (5) Collision Detector (1) Trick Shot
Points 48 x2
I played 2 different players, each with Resistance. Game 1 was vs. Vennie, Greer, & Bastian. Game 2 was vs. Vennie, Lโulo, & Tallissan. I won both games. ๐
I canโt give you a play by play, but here are some of my take-aways....
Having swarmy Null and QD gave me a good potential alpha strike. After the first joust, I prefer breaking formation. The rear arc makes for so many viable options. In the end, I think I will keep Swarm Tactics in as it can be a pretty potent vs. some lists.
Collision Detector is great fun on a ship that can pop missles out the back. I did a couple nice concussion damage card flips but they just simply do not hit like proton torps. 3 charges is a big deal. Trickshot triggered well less than I forecasted.
Null is fun because he pulls double duty. First he facilitates some alpha goodness, then he takes a couple hits and becomes a really annoying blocker.
Iโve gone back and forth with how to equip QD. I went with the SF gunner and FCS to get better mileage from his ability...which also triggers from bombs as I discovered tonight.
Although I had some cold dice, I think this build is still viable and will keep at it. I really look forward to getting my First Order back on the table soon!
