Interesting situation - Melisanda and Red Wedding

By Rozy, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

Yesterday we played a game an an interesting situation came up. My opponent decided not to flip the plot, but if he had I wonder if my assumptions are correct.

I played Bara and had 14 powers and played Power of Blood as my plot. My opponent wanted to play The Red wedding. So he could kill my Melisadra (core) and one of my lords would claim 2 powers so I would win. But the tricky part was that by killing Melisandra my opponent could count his 8 power on Red Viper and would win the game also. But my thinking was that I would get my 2 power before the Melisandra would die therefore win before my opponent could win.

SO what do you think?

Mel dies and your lord claims power at the same moment, but because of Moribund rules, Mel still affects the game until she is phisycally placed in dead pile at the last step of the framework action window.

Which Red Viper was it? If it was the PotS Red Viper, correct me if I am wrong, but because he is Immune to Character events, he is Immune to Melisandre's "no power" effect, ergo, you still count his power.

Oh we forgot about the imune to character abilities. But he didnt have the power only on him so he would not win anyway :)
