Seperatists: What Will I need to Build a Squad?

I'll make a bet there will be a card we've not seen in it that will be exclusive to the pack.

The pack already includes: Hate, Brillant Invasion and the Dooku (crew) card which isn't in any other so far. So that's one, I'll bet there's another as well.

Sideous crew showed up in the French(?) preview for it, too. Who knows what’s up there, yet, though.

Edit: to answer the OP, I’m personally hoping to get two Servants of Strife packs and two Vultures. 😅 The Infiltrator will probably be something I end up getting, but I’m less overly excited for it than a Vulture Swarm.

If I get Clone Wars stuff, I'll probably go ahead and get the Separatists (will paint them up rusty as if they are survivors now in the Galactic Civil War era). Unless the stand alone Vulture (and eventual Belbullab-22) give anything new, I'll probably just get two SoS boxes and an Infiltrator. Four Vultures, 2 B-22s, and an Infiltrator should be a good start to a hidden and barely surviving Separatist fleet.

Nice idea you make a Separatist holdout. 👍

So I wonder if the Servant of Strife pack and one additional Vulture will be enough to build a squad? I wonder if I'll need two Vultures? I'm not really interested in the big ship.

I'm trying to make decisions for a pre-order.

Upgrade cards in the CIS big ship - do you think those will be available in the SoS pack or will they only be in the big ship? That might be the thing that makes me buy the big ship.

Thoughts?

I think buzz droids only come in the blister which is annoying.

I wonder if if people will want one colour and will swap droids to create a faction of one colour.

Do we know how many vulture droids can be on a table at one time?
I hope I can fly 8 of them :)

8s the max for ships on board anyways, so yeah.

But considering they are weaker stat wise than Ties, I expect them to be the same cost or cheaper.

As far as we know right now they look like they might be. We still need the wording of the reverse side of the Vulture droid's config for that to be definite. It could boost the droid's stats and maybe tweak the dial ala a R4 type adjustment when their grapples aren't deployed.

True. My guess it they get another evade die.

That is what I'm thinking too.

I mean... they could price that into the config and not the vulture

That ability is innate to the droid. To be able to walk. Has to be an auto include.

Like s-foils on the x-wing

Trickshot might be really good for these guys

IF they get Talent slots it will be.

Idk I just don't see a free config giving vulture droids an extra green die. Free flip configs don't work that way right now; they'd rather exchange one of your already-existing dice for an ability, and that model works fine, so why not just put the third green on the ship card? Makes me think that if there is going to be an added die it'll be situational at best, otherwise there's no reason to put it on the config.

The "ability" is when the grapples are in use, the cost of use would be the reduction from 3 green to the base stats on the "pilot" card. It is likely set up this way because of the word salad from **** that is on the side of the card indicating the active grapples.

Added factor I hadn't considered: the price of modifications

A-Wings and Fangs indicate the possibility that the Vultures may not have access to them.

I feel the need to be clear. I'm not disregarding your concern about an effectively 3 agility ship paying the 2 agility price for variable upgrade. It is a very valid concern, especially considering that the Vulture Droid is likely to be the Separatist swarm unit. My concern is that without any offset to the 2/2/3/0 base stats, even with the Calculate sharing, the Vulture Droid will not see the table outside of casual play. Taking into account the sheer word salad of the known side of the configuration card and the extreme level of standardization across most if not all Vulture Droids, an additional green die and possibly a single step improvement in difficulty to the bank maneuvers seems to be a strong likely hood for the wording on the Config's flip side at the cost of the Vulture Droid not having a modification slot, much like the A-Wings and Fang Fighter. What I mean by word salad can be seen below. The config card is the left most card of the bottom spread.

It would be a bit of a pain to fit "and rolls 1 less defense die" in with that paragraph on the card. :)
