Force charges and the '+'.

By Stoneface, in X-Wing

Can anyone explain the '+' symbol on some of the force users? I couldn't find anything in the RRG that covers this.

It appears on the crew force users, and indicates that the force ratings are all summed together and added to the ship's bar, to give one overall force rating for the ship as a whole, which regens 1 point per round. Even if it started with none.

spaceinvader is correct on all counts, a good summary of what the Rules Reference (1.0.2) says on p7.

For a similar use of the '+' symbol look at Hull/Shield upgrade:

Doh! I never noticed the +1 on the shield upgrade card!

THANKS guys! I never put 2 & 2 together with the force tokens on the ship, which I understood, with the +1 on the cards.

Any regenerating charge must go on the card with the plus, right?

For instance, Poe can't put his regenerated charge on BB-8?

Correct. While Force Charges go into a combined Force pool for the ship, the other charge type is only applicable to the specific upgrade card it is from.

Okay here is an idea. a pilot or upgrade that has lets say 7 force charges, but has a triangle down. Meaning every turn discard a force token.

Eeeh too many. I’d say four at most, and have it be a dark side user. That way you can have Hate on them and they have to take damage to regen force points. Nice and flavorful.
