Swift Attack - Am I missing something here?

By ClockworkLemon, in Dark Heresy Rules Questions

So, a few of us started playing Dark Heresy at the start of this year, and having played two or three scenarios, we ran into something while upgrading characters. One of the guys was interested in taking Swift Attack as an upgrade for his Assassin, but was unsure about exactly what benefit it provided.

The rules for Swift Attack state that you can make two attacks as part of one Full Action. What we don't understand is how this is different from making two standard attacks as separate half actions. So, what are we missing? As it stands, I can't see how Swift Attack provides any benefit.

When looking at the rules for actions, you'll notice that you cannot make two of the same half actions in the same turn.

Edit: For the record, it's found on page 188, under "Half Action".

Ah, it all makes sense now. I had a feeling that there might have been a limitation on doing the same half action twice in a turn, but I couldn't find where it said so. Thanks for pointing that one out.

That, and note that Swift Attack is a prerequisite for Lightning Attack which then allows you to make 3 attacks per full turn action.
