Kavil + Torkil + 4-LOM +?

Undecided which list is better out of these two.... escape shuttle for action economy or Jakku Gunrunner for disruption?

List 1

kavil/R4 astro/proton torps/dorsal turret/han gunner (61) + Torkil Mux/title (48) + 4-LOM/adv. sensors/elusive/0-0-0/title (65) + Outer Rim Pioneer/tactical officer (26) = Total 200pts

List 2

kavil/R4 astro/proton torps/dorsal turret/han gunner (61) + Torkil Mux/title (48) + 4-LOM/adv.sensors/elusive/0-0-0 (63pts) + Jakku Gunrunner (28pts) = Total 200pts

Question is: do you need actions? Torkil should be pre stacked with focus, Kavil can generate focus when needed, and 4-LOM also has means to get multiple "actions"

I like the escape shuttle, but I feel the gunrunner will give you more in this case

yeah, im thinking the same thing. Jakku G adds a control element and a blocker to the first engagement that will likely take some of the heat off my other 3 ships. Kavil is going to melt fast under concentrated fire. JG also makes them cautious on their initial approach.

4-LOM is imo maxed aout with adv.sensors/elusive/0-0-0.

wonder if those 3pts for 0-0-0 could be spread across the other ships eg. debris gambit on torkil and trickshop on kavil? i like the idea of a 5dice torp thru an obstacle at range 3 but it might be just too situational to pull off?

going to drop 0-0-0 from 4-LOM and take Misthunter title and put trickshot on Kavil :)

Ive found 4-LOM with 000 and elusive rather good. Advanced sensors is the upgrade I'd consider changing. But if you like how it's plays take the gunrunner.

intersting... my gameplay has shown me that advanced sensors is a MUST for 4-LOM (must be how Im flying him). some of the tricks available to you with adv.senors on him are...

barrel roll b4 you move (hlps to block other ships and avoid obstacles)

calculate before you take a red move them get a second calculate (two calculates)

calculate before you reveal a red stop, the grab a second calculate (two calculates)

calculate before you bump (one calculate)

barrel roll b4 u K turn :)

dial in a 2K turn, take a calculate, before you move, due to enemy ships positions change your mind and block 4-LOM with ur own ship and do a 1 straight (one calculate)

AdSen IS a must for 4-LOM. And I'd rather have 0-0-0 on him too than Elusive, or even Mist Hunter, any day. The control is just so strong.

0-0-0 is very good but they cn always choose to give you a calculate and avoid taking stress.

elusive should on average save u 2-3 dmg per game. more if ur lucky, less if ur good at rolling blanks. ;)

I have played Mux a few times and he is good in the right circumstances.

A good opponent will focus him down so give him some protection.

I also think Flooze is right so I don't see the need for the escape shuttle.

With that in mind I find Mux is better with a more hard hitting list.

Maybe this:

Mux - Title, L337, Shield Upgrade

4-Lom - Adsen, 000, Title

2 x Kihraxz Marauders

Would hit hard and 2 x marauders probably survive longer than Kavil and Shuttle.

Also 000 is way stronger than at first glance on 4-Lom - opponent doesn't want the stress so gives a calculate - end of turn - here have 4-Lom's stress anyway. Alternatively, take the stress - here is a second one for a double stress.
