Just got Oath of the Outcast!

By Lightningclaw, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

I'm really excited- Laurel of Bloodwood looks good, because my group tends to get within the "safe" range of 2 squares for ranged, meaning her ability will frequently trigger:

Trenloe has nice straightforward numbers, and I always enjoy more heroes with unusual stats (3 in both stamina and speed):

The bane spiders will finally complete my descent spider family (sans Ariad's models) with the babe spiders being a nice middle ground between cave spiders and arachyura:

The beast men provide another monster with Ravage (I think the master's Command ability might make the group though) and the Razorwings are really fast.

This looks like a solid pack!

Note how the master razorwing is even faster!

I feel like monster packs are overprized. I really would like to have more of them. If they would include a new class in each of them i would be fine with it.

I agree... I already have several, but I'd buy more if they had a class or if FFG made green dice and the other six conditions available when designing the packs.

Edit: who am I kidding I'll buy the last four sooner or later

Bought them all (and everything else) over a few months some time ago, and did think about the cost when looked at from the 'all in' perspective.

That said, since having played a great deal of Descent, both Overload vs Players and RtL, I have honestly not regretted it one bit.

We are in the final Stories of KF (a warm up for the new RtL campaign after a long absence) and find if anything the diversity of Monsters really has made it shine.

It's just such a great game. ;)
