We recreated the Battle of Scarif scenario!

By Irokenics, in Star Wars: Armada

Yes we finally got there in the end!

Thank you to all our supporters that helped us get the shield gate from Mel's Miniatures!

Intel Officer Luke and Fulcrum Nick had a blast playing the scenario and I had fun filming it. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did.

Merry Christmas fleet commanders!

I have been looking forward to this. Can’t wait to watch.

Thanks for the work to make this.

Good ****.

YEEESSSSSSSS!!!!!! I knew you guys wouldn't let us down. I'm going to watch this now. The hype was high for me. Thank you! !!!

I've been looking forward to this one. I hope we get to see some more crazy fleet battles, and maybe some inspiration from the non-canon battles as well.

I'd like to see a modified campaign at some point from you guys, as the CC does list itself for 2-6 players.

That was great. The joy that you guys had playing this was so manifest that I could not stop smiling.

I agree. It was a fun watch, super enjoyable and it that outcome was insane. I think it was brilliant. I loved the mechanics of the Shield Gate itself!

Thanks for the solid positive responses everyone!

I am glad you had fun doing it, I am glad people enjoyed it, but I am not one of them. I could not watch it, as it is not family friendly. So when you have kids around and they are swearing on the video like drunken sailors, I was not able to finish it. Most likely not going to watch it some other time when kids are not around either, I do not enjoy that language spent enough time around it when I was in the military and to me all it does is shows your lack of intelligence when you limit you vocabulary so much. Clarification, I was trying to say that in limiting your vocabulary your are missing out on lots of other ways to express yourself, and they may draw in more viewers rather than drive them away. I was not trying to say anything about your intelligence, but I did a very poor job of expressing myself. I apologize if I came across as condescending and judgmental that was not my goal, my goal was to express ways that if you are interested you could change to draw more people in. However reading the rest of the posts it does not look like I am the target audience so after saying I am sorry if I offended anyone I will move along.

I do have one question that maybe was answered later or I missed it as I only made it part way into it, but how was the Empire getting his defense tokens back after burning them? Turn one he burned his brace but used it again in turn two, either I missed how he was getting it back or something wrong happened?

Studies have shown that people who swear more frequently have a higher intelligence, and better vocabulary skills, and are able to communicate points more clearly and effectively. Also, swearing is simply use of a word, and like all words, are given weight based on the individual user. Sure, words can hurt, but you control how much you allow it to effect you.

Scientists have also found those who swear more are healthier, happier, and more honest. Strong language can also act as natural pain relief because of how our brains work. Unfortunately, I cant find the actual study, but it was published by multiple colleges. There is a link to one published version below.

Thanks for watching.

It's unfortunate that you did not enjoy the video that you envisioned it to be.

Whilst we appreciate the feedback, there is no need to make judgement on our intelligence or vocabulary. Additionally, we respect the military community and think there is no need to judge their intelligence and vocabulary based on its colourful language culture.

It was an ability from a custom card, Admiral Gorin.

Great video! I really enjoyed it. This should be a new campaign from FFG.

Also **** I feel stupid.

Looks like I have something to watch on my commute home :)

So this is a complaint that has come up a handful of times in the past in relation to our videos, and I'm going to basically copy and paste what I've said before in reply to this.

We really do pay attention to the feedback we receive, and we are always endeavouring to provide better and better content; however, we swear. A lot.

If this is preventing you from enjoying, or detracting from your enjoyment of, our videos then that is a valid complaint. We're genuinely sorry that that is the case. But to be perfectly honest, and we say this with the utmost sincerity, we're not going to do anything about it.

This is something that we do for love. The little money we do receive from our wonderful patrons every month is used to purchase things for the channel (better recording equipment, camera stands, etc). We pour a lot of time, energy, and money into producing this content, and work around a lot of our 'real' lives to do so. To be clear this doesn't undermine the validity of your complaint, but because this is something we do for love it is vitally important that we ensure that we're enjoying what we're doing.

Censoring ourselves, and worrying about whether we've said "****" or "bull" too many times in one video, is not something that we would enjoy doing, so we're not going to. Again, while we're sorry that this decision detracts from your enjoyment of our content, ultimately its about making sure that we're able to keep doing what we do.

On a personal level, the attitude displayed in your response is incredibly poor. Insulting our intelligence simply because we swear in the content we provide is a bit a much. There is a polite way of criticising someone and their work, which you did not have the courtesy to do.

I would like Ken's immediate above post except he used the wrong its. [edit: Ken has repented and made amends. God bless you sir!]

I have not watched this video, but I will when I return from holidays.

I don’t like the swearing either (which the motf crew know), and as a rule when I’m in the room they curtail it out of respect for me - which is nice! Remarks about intelligence and swearing are unnecessary.

Ok work is done.

The work boots are off

The man vest is on

Im going in...

Constructive criticism.

Next time leave the scenes where Luke punches Nick in the nose for saying his arms look like a couple of drumstick squashies in the final cut.

Really fantastic setup. Will be trying this out.

Merry Christmas from England!

moooar praise.

Great video, really enjoyed it.

Recognizing that this may not be a quick ask - would you mind posting the lists you used?

I'm not yet experienced enough that I can watch the video and catch everything.

Check out Mythbusters from Discovery channel. They did a myth involving pain and swearing.

Great looking game.

Excellent work, although I feel sad for the loss of the Rebel Alliance.

Anyway, looks awesome! Great work!

I really loved watching this video. The design on the scenario is just perfect. I hope I can get this to the table with my local group! :D

I've been playing some Battlefront 2, and I think it would be interesting to see you guys try some of the galactic assault missions in that for Legion.
