Turret arc change and bonus attack

By Grendelator, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Simple question but differents readings 🙂

If a Starfortress with Paige and veteran turret gunner attack from a "turret" then rotate the turret marker 180°, can it do a bonus attack with veteran turret gunner from the same "printed" arc, cause the "turret" pointer change, or does the "turret" pointer "used" the printed arc.

Don't know if I'm clear enought.

The turret arc indicator points toward one of the ship’s four standard arcs. The standard arc that the turret arc indicator is pointing toward is a "turret" in addition to still being a standard arc. While a ship performs a "turret" attack, it can attack a target that is in its "turret" arc.

You cannot rotate your arc 180. When you rotate your arc you have to select a different arc (or pair of arcs for a bowtie) than the one you are currently on.

Where in the rules does it say that a double turret can't be rotate 180° so the right pointer become left and left one become right.

A ship with a double turret arc indicator has two "turret" in opposite directions.

Since the double turret has 2 indicator, they are different from eachother.

Under Rotate on page 16 of the Rules Reference:

Quote

• If a ship rotates a double turret arc indicator, it must select the other two standard arcs it was not already selecting.

OK thanks ;)

Was looking on 1.0.0 version of the rule reference.... that's why I wasn't able to find this info ;)

nether looking at rotate section....

I'm a noob ;)
