Quick Query RE: The App

By UberMunchkin, in KeyForge

Hey Folks, quick query, I've recently picked up this game with the idea of getting a few of my buddies to play. I have no intention of playing in tournaments or events. Given that do I need to bother with the app? Does it add anything to the game if I'm only going to be playing casually with friends?

Currently no, but they are adding features to it to let you track casual games if you desire. You can already write down notes about a deck on the web version.

That would be great, because it would be nice to keep track of wins and losses.

I don't like the way decks are currently registered, but I'm not sure I have a better way to go about it.

Cool. Thanks for the response. It seems I can safely ignore the app part then. I don't really care about tracking the wins/losses and that seems to be all it does.

Looking forward to getting to play some over the Christmas week.

The app is nice in that you can scan your deck which then puts it out there for other sites like Keyforge Compendium to reference.

They mentioned a bit about the aember shards and keys that you get with the app being used for prize wall stuff and tournament entries later on. While that might not be your thing, you may want to let someone else scan your QR code if you know someone that is into that stuff.

It also allows you to view your decks while your at work. So there's that.

You mean you don't bring them with for lunch breaks?

If I worked with gamers, I absolutely would.

If you want to play on www.TheCrucible.online you'll need to register your decks. It is a good way to get some practice, and if you are just itching for a game real quick.

Do we know what the aember shards/keys are for yet?

Prize walls at certain events.

But that is all, it remains vague as to where, when or what....

Duplicate.
