Keyforge News Source?

By Revert, in KeyForge

Where am I supposed to go for keyforge news? I assumed it would be the keyforge fantasy flight website, but this youtube video was released with no announcement: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESETHb99U40 . The master vault also feels like a valid location, but there is no announcement there either. Last option would be official posts on the forums, but I don't see anything that indicates if a post was made by an employee, or just another player. I suffered the same annoyance when they updated the rulebook to version 1.1.

With the current frequency of keyforge announcements (on any site), without a centralized news source, I am going to stop looking for news. I like this game, but I don't like it enough to randomly visit the support section on a regular basis, and see if the date for the most recent rulebook update has changed.

I've been asking myself this for all FFG games for years now....let me know if you find the answer. In the mean time, I usually just listen to a couple of podcasts and let them collect the news for me ;) (and thank you for doing so, content creators, you are the best!)

This is a problem I've been aware of and I'm going to take responsibility for this in the near future. We've tried to help curb this a bit through the card clarifications on KeyForge Compendium , but it's only a partial solution. We're going to be adding a news/articles portion to the site to be more thorough as a community resource -- and hopefully keep the community up to speed. We may even add in newsletters/mailing lists to make extra sure people are informed.

With information (including rulings) coming from Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, emails, etc., there's very few of us who actually have a good grasp of everything going on (or that are even aware of things going on). And those of us who do keep on top of all these things, it can be a sizeable commitment. This not very conducive for the average player.

Don't count on it ever happening. Even European Championships for their games are "announced" on some employee's facebook page, even though there's perfectly viable "Organized Play" subforums, News pages, and pages with tournament locations. As great as the development department is, their marketing and tournament team is horrendous. It's a running joke that every single announcement news post for x-wing has atleast 2 rules errors in them, including illegal lists or invalid combinations.
