Who is better carrier ship for Han gunner... Kavil or Boba?

No other actions they want to take? A lot of Boba will equip IG-88 D for double-calculate tokens, or Debris Gambit for Evades. The other thing is that when you're on blue moves, you're more likely to want to boost. Blue-move Boba is also probably easier to block, and a bumped Boba won't get actions, except for Han Gunner. Han's just really flexible, and gives you lots of options, and you'll have a lot of information when you have to make the choice to take a stress or not.

I think that's a big part of it. Being able to take an action while blocked is pretty potent. Some turns, you might not need it, but when you do, you can get rerolls and focus, which is strong.

That said, at a pre-Hyperspace Wave 1 format tournament, a local Scum-only guy who flies a lot of Boba didn't bring Han gunner, specifically because Debris Gambit wasn't legal, so there weren't other things to do with your actions, and I found it funny when he was discussing it, since it was exactly what I'd thought when I was playing around in the apps for a Boba/Fenn list (I settled on Fenn/Old T/Kad S).

And looking over it, I didn't so much demonstrate synergy, so much as two powerful pieces together. :P

It's a different playstyle; both seem valid. A Proton Torpedo with Focus and Lock will, against 2 green dice and a focus token do about 2.5 damage. A 3-dice primary at Range 1 followed up by a 4 dice Dorsal shot, with one Focus between the two attacks, will do about 2.5 damage. It's harder to parse the exact expected value, due to complications in token spending strategies, but the damage is really pretty similar.

And as with Boba, Han Gunner gives you a decent number of options. On the approach, I've left my Kavil turret full forward. Focus/Lock means I'll throw a 4-dice double-mod attack at any range. Torpedo at 2-3, Dorsal at 1. If I want to rotate my arc (I'll have pretty decent information at Init 5), I can do that, and still have a focus token for my attack. If I get blocked (likely through a cascade of bumps), I can still focus.

It's not that it's uninteresting it's that han is suuuuuper cheap.

im expecting han gunner to jump to something like 8-10pts. all the other gunners should probably be a little cheaper too. even at 8pts id say players will pick han gunner over everything else available at current costs.
