when attempting a barrel roll do you have to end at the center-line and then select if you want to move forward or back or stay in the center? had an issue where a friend wanted to barrel roll but couldn't do one from center-line to center-line but could go from center to aft position??? and by center-line I mean the center hash mark on the side of the ship and the template...

When you br: declare direction, left or right, then you are free to decide if u want to place it fore, center or aft. Only if all three are illegal does the action fail.

If you fit in one of the three positions, your barrel roll is successful and you must complete it
