An article is never late, nor is it early. It arrives exactly when it's supposed to

nah man, theres ships crossing over from firefly and star wars and vice versa
it's just that firefly takes place in the unknown regions in the unknown colonies mentioned at the start of empire strikes back

I think the most plausible option is somewhere between not distracting people from Christmas-available games and play testing the new epic format.
I agree with others who have said it- the pamphlet was at LEAST as good an article, maybe two. There is not much left to spoil, maybe there are special scenarios that come with the SSD, maybe there are additional huge ship rules or accompanying errata for Motti or something. But they have already spoiled all of the hulls and upgrades, so... thanks FFG?
Because Nostradamus made no mentions of new articles.
The courier was on the way to the printers when this happened....
Working on Armada 2.0 rules.
Maybe they are working on an EtoE RPG + Imp Assault+ Legion + X-Wing 2.2 + LCG + Armada campaign box set...

FFG has decided to take the SSD back to the drawing board in favor of making it in proper scale with the CR-90 - new price will be $999.99?
or
They are busy adding Dragons to the game, and have been waiting on an AMAZING article which will also cover how Dragons work?
You guys got any good ones?
Disney said the the model was too small and want it bigger to match the Star Destroyers of the new movies.
Also, Resistance and 1st Order need to be added in before another ship.
FFG want us to beg for news
Just when everybody was about to say Armada is dea... There's a new article!!!
Edited by DOMSWAT911Well, the SSD won't hit the shelves before Christmas, why write an article? Time and attention are precious.
What I really would like to see is an official app that can adjust the cost of cards, but well, that's an entire different topic...

Why assume we'd get an article before Christmas in the first place?

ding ding ding, we have a winner.
Pump the flagships, pump the holiday sales. While the
Executor
may have been Lord Vader's flagship, it's clearly not one of of FFG's flagship lines. That belongs to the "Power Three" of X-Wing, Legion, and L5R (seriously, those three games make up 80% (12/15) of the most recent articles featured on the "Recent News" site navigation). The other three entries belong to 2x Cthulu and 1x GoT. Keyforge probably also counts as a flagship property, but that thing is selling itself well enough at the moment to probably not need much nudging.
