Kolat School Question

By Arolem, in Rules Questions

Kolat Saboteur Conspiracy school:

They only have access to 2 technique types: Kata and Shuji.

With their school they have conditional access to all ninjitsu by rank 4, but at rank 5 they have [rank 1-5 ninjitsu].

No new ninjitsu were released with the book, so that the moment it's a useless selection, but they will undoubtedly release more. Probably with the shadowless splatbook we're getting next...

But why not just give them full access to ninjitsu from the start? All but 1 are granted 1 rank prior to when they could be bought normally, so it could be kept on track and allow the Kolar more ninja options when more get released.

Was it an editing error to give them 2 technique types? Or will there be errata later when we get more ninjitsu techniques to choose from?

It just seems a bit lacking. Like perhaps it would have been better presented in a future book with more ninja/underworld stuff. Unless it's meant to be more a gm school, being that it's abilities are super reliant on gm permission, moreso than most.

Or is this just me? Having full access to ninjitsu would be broken? Is only having 2 technique types is fair for their flavor? The kitsune have access to 3 but are an equally odd/ill fitting/dangerous school.

Anyways just something I wondered about while flipping through the book. Thanks for the time and the read.

Terminology was wrong. Fixed title

Do they not have access to Rituals? Literally every other school has Rituals

They do not, but I figure that's because they wish to usurp the kami/heaven and usher in the age of man. Rituals are tied to kami or ancestors or some such iirc.

So I understand why they wouldn't access them, aside from specific ones that are specific to centering oneself or something.
