Who is 'The Red-Gloved Man'?

By Hybrid, in CoC General Discussion

A new and very nice article by Marius.

I too appreciate the Nick Cave quote! Big fan, spooky song.

Conspiracies and Conspirators have fantastic potential

for flavor! I hope FFG gets serious about making them more playable.

Hopefully the other conspirators have better fashion sence. Red gloves with a cool grey suit is so gauche. Make it work people!

The Character has really good stats and cards that draw open up a wealth of possibilities for combos.

I wish he was Syndicate... just thinking out loud... with my fingers...

That's a good start.

For some reason the card just conjours up ideas of an Avatar of Nyarlathotep.

Just wondering if LCG MU decks should pack three the Locked Door conspiracies for that extra investigate struggle. Mortlan and Local Historian and Professor of Archeology were a long time ago. Unless Arkham Contraction if ever will include icon boosts, could a conspiracy be an MU boon perhaps. Not enough to matter probably. Didn't before. Poor MU.

My buddy recently built a MU Investigator deck with Conspiracy Theorist and it is OK.

He played 3 of almost every MU Investigator excepting the uniques, which he only played 1 of them. The guy that makes Investigators cost 1 less and gives Investigators 1 extra Search Icon made the deck deadly once it got rolling, but sadly, it was just a bit too slow to live up to both of my decks. We played about 8 games that night, 5 against my Agency/Syndicate (speed, damage and utilities) and 3 against my Yog/MU (discard/stall) and he only ever beat the discard deck which might actually be slower to set up than his MU deck..... I think it can get better, it just needs some serious tuning. He might switch it up with some Agency Investigators and damage.

Locked Door doesn't create an extra investigation struggle, I think. It appears to simply give each character an extra investigation icon. So helps a swarm team.

But the card includes an additional investigation struggle icon on the left hand side. I can only assume that means an additional investigation struggle and well as the bonus icon provided by the text box.

When you resolve the locked door, there is an extra struggle. It has 2 investigation struggle icons, so the struggle resolves twice.

D'oh! You mean you are supposed to look at the whole card, not just the text?
