Lore-wise, Asajj was Dooku's apprentice and very much a red-blade Sith-trained force user. Of course she's dark side, even if she eventually strikes off on her own.

Likely a feature. As others have mentioned, it is possible to have Maul ride shotgun with Ezra og Kanan, and have them equip Hate. There might also be a light side Scum force user eventually.

But I was thinking Maul will add the possibilitie to equip a Dark Side card, it seems you need the corresponding slot

As the only Dark Side card we have for now is Hate, its abilitie is useless for Scums and can only work with a few Rebel guys if you have Ezra in your squadron
