I was actually more of a Squats fan but Chaos Marines are a close second.

I like to root for the little guy and if there isn't a little guy, I root for the bad guy.

I fully agree, I'm still waiting for them to show up as allies for my Tau force, but my preferred game and GW's haven't really meshed since about 2nd Edition.
