Warhammer: Online

I'm going to start WH: Online and am doing the trial version atm.

My shopkeeper also said that in Ulthuan or something there was a code for an extra month of play... anyone seen it? As I haven't found it anywhere in it.

IIRC it's just a code for a free trial, but since the trial is free anyway now it's pretty much moot.

I do play WH:O - the PvP is pretty fun.

The code(s) give you access to new items though. At least that's how they are plugged as (don't do MMORPGs). I currently have 3x codes, W:I Core Set, Assault on Ulthuan and Chaos in the Old World all came with them I think.

Yeah, they do (although when I tried the item code from AoU it said that the code wasn't active yet).

But the extra month he was talking about doesn't give you a free month on Warhammer Online, sadly - it's just the trial, and that's already free.

I played for a while and while it was a decent game that captured the Warhammer world extremely well, the place was just deserted. Such a shame. I would wander around for hours looking for enough people to get together for certain quests and whole areas were just empty. I don't know if that is still the case but it pretty much ruined things for me back then.

Varies from tier to tier, area to area and server to server. Tier 1 is very busy because of the free trials, and tier 4 is pretty busy since the long term players hit the level cap a long time ago. In the middle, generally you can find open RvR but PvE parties are harder to find.

in first two months servers was overloaded) and there was a lot more servers then its now.

Then... something happened...

I have NO idea what but... IDK... I was playing in Tier 1, got to Tier 2, things were fine. Left for 3 months, came back and it was a no man zone... my server then got merged with another, that was fine, played to Tier 3, left for a month, came back, deadman zone again... Merged with another server again, played into Tier 4, had a great time, took another 2 months break, and things were different still with attitudes...

I'm not entirely sure what the issue was. It had PvE content, PvP content, and the 'RvR' content. Endlessly organizing groups of other players to ambush battlefeild objectives and players, setting up small scouting groups of 3 men in each zone watching for the other factions activity. And since your access to the higher end gear and THE 'end game (king fight)' is contingent on getting the other sides butt: Now THAT'S WAR. The game is worth playing for that reason, alone. That last bit is found in pretty much NO other MMO. Gives you a reason to hate the other side.

The bits of PvE and instances that you can engage in to take a break are nice, though limited, which I think is people's problem. Not enough PvE content, limited crafting (not materials really to grind endlessly for)... everything was geared towards getting you back in to fight the other players ASAP. Sounds good to me.

I have limited idea why it was so abandonned...

as i said, in khemry more alive people then on WAR servers now )=

Any inkling as to why?
