Character rules that seem out of place.

It's more in how activations are issued from a central hub and how the army can hallways fall apart without such a hub. Stuff like that is better for games that are of an era of communicating with flags, runners and bugles in a huge crowd, than 35 people with comm links.

I think it's a lot easier for a leader to shout and point than communicate on the average radio, even now. Look at the blunders in Aliens.
As it is the commander (you) has perfect control over where everyone goes and acts even if the timing isn't always right..

Then again, that brings up the question of why long range comm links and HQ uplinks work so well, so it certainly seems inconsistent somewhere along the way...

That was no light civilian weapon in FFG's eyes. That thing is packing pierce according to Legion, and is also a powerful gun with an impressive dice pool and surge abilities in IA!

Maybe the pierce is due to Leia's skills? She's just that good at hitting weak points?

Well its probably a combination of skills and balance. It wouldn't be good for a 90 point character to have the same offensive ability as a Rebel trooper.

First, I can assure you beanie babies look nothing like ewoks when you're on halluciongenics.

Second, as always a numerically superior indigenous force can overcome a technologically advanced invading force, both in a single battle and over time. I will point you to Vietnam, Iraqi Insurgents, Taliban forces (vs. both the USA and the Soviet Union), Little Bighorn......

And @Derrault you got a source on that....cuz they didn't even put that on wookipedia.

And, actually, if you eatch closely, other than the traps they use on the vehicles, the Ewok’s attack is really only useful as a diversion. We only *see* a single stormtrooper actually go down from an Ewok attack. And since that was rocks being dropped on his head, he might have just stood back up after a few seconds. Sure, that’s not the impression you’re likely to get, but if you really watch what happens onscreen, the Ewoks suffer more casualties than the stormtroopers.

But those little bears had HEART.

In more serious settings and situations where they're not "intending" to be useless, they are pretty good shots and I probably "trust" Obi-Wan Kenobi more than any character in the Star Wars universe.

I dunno, he’s lied about important stuff before.

”Well, I guess stormtroopers CAN hit the broad side of a barn if you give them one to shoot at. Well, Luke, anyone you care about is probably safe from these guys. They’d have to hose everything down with a flamethrower to hit a couple of running civilians.”

And its not like its the Stormtroopers who are bad. Its that their Blasters only give 1 white die. Give them the Rebel trooper's guns and they'd be terrifying. The Stormtroopers themselves have Precise 1.

Deathtroopers are what happens when you give Stormtroopers good guns.

I count 8 definite on screen kills of stormtroopers by Ewoks not involving traps or vehicles.

The 5 that go to collect 3PO and R2 get swarmed before the horns go off.

A few seconds later there's an over the shoulder shot of an Ewok shooting an arrow and a stormtrooper directly in front of him falls to the ground right after he does it. I mean we were like 8 years for Robin Hood Prince of Thieves "follow the arrow" shots so we can safely infer that the Ewok killed the trooper just fine. (Arrows do penetrate armor, BTW as any military that has faced archery has found out....but just in case you need a source https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Agincourt ) At the same time there is a pile of stormtroopers dead on the ground in the same spot. Only Han and Leia seem to have their guns back at this point so we can also assume that the Ewok archery volley that is shown a moment before took at least a few targets out.

Two of them get pushed off a hill a moment later and are then swarmed by more, and we can assume that they were beaten to death shortly after the camera cut away. (look again to medeval battles about what happens when someone wearing armor falls down is set upon by people with sharp weapons.)
