Yup I see, you can add them to your collection, but as far as squad building, still nothing. The factions are up but no ships have been added. Even in custom.

Yea, I got excited seeing the factions were added but quickly found the other stuff not there.

Now they've added the factions, but not actual content to them.

Ffg you are precious to me, but really...this app... 😕

Forgive me for asking a stupid question, but is Wave 2 out in stores yet?

Tomorrow in the United States, overseas Europe already have had it for abvout 1.5 weeks

Extended work for me ! :)

This app is such a joke. How hard would it have been to build something with a half-decent interface that can read information from a local database file that it version checks on startup? I sure hope they saved a few bucks by outsourcing this overseas.

The worst part is it adds this annoying extra barrier to the new folks that have joined our group, they go to use the official product and it frustrates them so much they feel a bit cheated not having the ability to just build using the cards they purchased.

It really does need sorting if they want a long term, successful game - something I think for the most part they have really put together! (So excited for the new factions and the way to retroactively alter the cost of broken things.)

The only issue I have beyond the app is the way information was released for wave 2, which in complete contrast to wave 1 was sloppy and rather delayed.

Yeah. No sign of an iOS update for the app, yet, but I just pulled it up and can squad build for Resistance and FO.

Yeah, FFG has announced it but everyone here, and my LGS have said tomorrow. I'll be picking up my stuff tonight at midnight.

Oooo. . .I like this one. Does it print?? Can I download to a computer??

Yep, you can print your list to PDF or a printer if you have that connected. I haven't tried on the web client because I use the android app which can be found on the link below.

Note, the developer isn't on Google Play b/c he already got a copyright claim and his account locked from one of his list builders on there (FFG game). This was during x-wing 1.0 which is why he moved his app to google+ because he simply couldn't put it on play.

There is no desktop app that I am aware of. You could use an emulator such as Genymotion if you really want an application experience on your desktop instead of the web though.

Well not sure about the app version but the web version of the official builder is updated now...

Couple of new special formats in there, 2.0 format is dead (HUZZAH!) and replaced with Hyperspace, and we can build with the Resistance and the First Order.

I wonder if the admins saw us complaining again and got the prod team to push the update, cuz none of these updates were there when I checked an hour ago. Whatever, at least it's there now :P

I like the idea behind the app, but it clearly leaves a bad taste in a lot of our mouths (mine included) thanks to it's many little issues. I'm sure I'm not the first person to mention this, but they really should just pay the fans who have already made better squad builders and make their 3rd party app official. YASB 2.0 might not be as pretty as the official app, but it sure does work and provides more info to the player. I'm sure there are plenty of others that would be fine options as well.

Happy list-building everyone.

I got a giant Hearthstone update the week before a new expansion release but the expansion wasn't available until release day.

The sky is falling.

Guessing not- most likely it was put out a day before the Wave 2 street date so that any super-bad bugs pop up they can hopefully fix it before any tournaments next week.

Website works fine.

Sorry to be a programmer noob, but wasn't that the point of Windows 8 and 10?

Never mind. Already found a bonus Missile slot on the Resistance Falcon. "fine" was an overstatement.

That would be the rational thing to think, but this is an app complaint thread, and we don't have time for rational thinking!

In all seriousness though, that was meant more as a playful jab. I'm guessing that FFG does understand why people have issues with the app, but they must be tired of hearing about it by now. I know I would be if I were the one that had to fix the thing.

True enough, on both points. Unfortunately, all they can do right now is work on fixing/improving the app- the time in which they could have used the community-driven apps as a guideline, whether by hiring the makers or just learning from their mistakes, seems to have passed.

Interesting that they didn't leave a second edition format somewhere. That would be the mode you'd want for Wave championship event squad building. I suppose you can just make what you need in the custom format.

Are you referring to running mobile apps on the desktop? I am a Linux User (Ubuntu is the distro I use) so from my perspective the point of windows is to make Microsoft money. Whereas the point of Linux Desktop is to provide a complete operating system experience for the user (altruistic as there is no profit motivation).

As for running Android apps on the desktop, I recommend genymotion as its cross platform and integrates with Android Studio (if you want to develop apps).
