Imperial players, what Scum pilot scares you the most? Why?

Dace Bonearm (who is largely useless in v2)

:) Feed back + Static Discharge is his friend. Throw on a Shield or Hull upgrade to offset the damage (if the combo is on him) and you have a nice way to set up a target to get pummeled. :)

The tugboat scares me, so much so I'm sticking to hyperspace. So long sucker... 😀

Now, is that really a fair comparison? Vader offers the opponent a choice, and has to give up a very useful token to do so. Palob gains a token and offers the opponent no chance to keep theirs. Not to mention upgrading your ship with Vader costs a lot more than upgrading a generic HWK to Palob, and uses up a very useful Crew slot.

Vader is powerful, don't get me wrong, but it just feels like a lot more thought about costs and tradeoffs went into one than went into the other.

Probably not entirely fair but your looking at it as the enemy has a token. If so then both steal one. Palob uses em vader doesn't. However if the target doesn't have one, for whatever reason, then palobs ability just doesn't proc while vaders becomes auto damage. Theres also the inherent flexibility of crew vs a named pilot.

I wouldn't be opposed to palob getting an increase but I'd like to also see something to make other hwks worth considering, without moldy.

I hope they leave Palob where he is but i can see the title going up a few pts. If he gets nerfed too much I think Scum might just default to Torkil Mux.

Maybe it's just because I tend to play more I3s and I4s, but Mux doesn't sound nearly as irritating as Palob.

Upgrades that need looking at are Proton Torps, Juke, and perhaps Advanced Sensors because it bends the rules and makes taking actions every turn automatic unless ur stressed at the start of the turn. Its an auto include on 4-LOM the stress giving machine.

I think Adv Sensors are alright. It’s mostly of use on specific ships (B-Wing, Starviper, Mistrunner), and has been toned down in v2. If you use it, you can’t use Afterburners, or linked actions. It’s also 8 points, which is a significant investment on a ship.

Alright, I retract the statement about Dace. I admittedy haven’t tried him yet, and will give that setup a whirl.

You did say "largely" and it sort of does apply depending on play style, so I don't see the retraction as necessary. :)
